We absolutely love VOP. Our granddaughter is a scholar there and she has grown and learned so much insuch short period of time. My visit to Village of Promise was well received by staff. The staff at the entrance made us feel extremely welcome. She was professional, friendly and embraced our visit. The VOP was well organized, students were very respectful and governed themselves in divine order. The student of interest has matured in her behavior, love her teachers, excited about what she is learning and looks forward to going to school.

If I could rate them a half star I would. Office staff is negligent with personal/confidential parent and student information. Another issue that I observed is the Executive Director does not advocate and genuinely care for students, staff members and families. Ex: Confusing the names and families of Hispanic and Black families simply off the basis of "they look alike", Talking down on Hispanic staff members because of their education status and assuming that every Black student comes from an abusive/impoverished home. Praying for better for the students and families involved with the Village of Promise. The teachers are phenomenal and so dedicated to their students. It's the office workers and the executive director, Dr. Libby Parker, that make it difficult for me to support the Village of Promise.
