I’ve had the privilege of meeting the wonderful people at Snellgrove. What a much needed place for everyone involved. The people who are working there are in it for the right reasons.
They even forfeit their pay, during times due to the lack of funding.
Our current government has stopped funding Snellgrove. I guess he feels like these people don’t matter.
I know differently. The faces of the people that attend are brighter because they have a community..being around their friends. Going on outings eating meals together, families too are getting their chance to take care of their own needs while the adults are at Snellgrove.
If Snellgrove closes it will be a shame.
The mayor needs to visit. See how much these adults with special needs benefit from this.. I would hope he would feel something in his heart to give back the funding that was provided before.
