We held our wedding at the community center in October 2024.

It all started fairly normal, we meet with Mr.Feagan in April 2024, did a walk thru, and pointed out things that needed to be fixed, moved, mowed are cleaned prior to the wedding. Mr. Feagan, assured us all will be taken care of prior to the wedding. Paid our deposite, and we flow back to Oklahoma. We stayed in contact thru out the months- all while Mr. Feagan, continues to say everything will be done.
We arrive back to Alabama the Monday prior to the wedding that will be on Saturday and thank God we did.
The venue was almost just as we saw it in April, minus the removal of some paint cans. We spoke with Mr. Feagan, and he stated that he has a team they will be there to get everything done. At this time , we know time is running out on us.
So the groom, my 80 year old auntie, my sister, Mrs. Shirley ( the decorater) and myself arrive to the venue bright and early the next day and we cleaned, moved and mowed everything that was prior pointed out to Mr. Feagan.

The morning of the wedding cames, an I notice a number of broken down tables have been pulled from I don't know where, and now I am at it again moving tables, extension cords and other out of place things, also with the help of Ms. Shirley, my sister and now I have to call the groom to help.

Deacon White was present, but he stated he had no clue of all the items that was pointed out earlier in April.

To sum this up. If you plan on having an event at the RL Austin Community Center think twice about dealing with the Mr. Feagan as he will walk around in his starched shirt and jeans, dealing out false promises, and speaking of a team that will never show-up.

After the wedding we returned to Oklahoma my husband reached out to Mr. Feagen about the venue and the issues. Telling Mr. Feagan that we should receive nearly all of our payment back. Because we did use the building and lights- but now the center will profit off of our hard work. Mr. Feagan stated he has to talk with committee before we would be able to get a refund.
We received a fractions of the money back.
Sorry this post is so long but it should be longer, because I really want you all to know how badly our experience was.
