I've read several comments about people not being greeted by others. I'm old and the Lord has moved me to a few places as I grew IN HIM. One thing I've been told over and over from others not going to church..... "I don't like the church pointing out and greeting me as a new person ". This is said by all non church goers. Now....as a child of God....when I've been moved by Him....I decided it's my job to introduce myself to others if I want to meet them. Without knowing me how would they approach me....knowing people hate being pointed out as new. This is a dilemma for many. To approach or not? Baptist have this down to an arform. It's their job in the body of Christ. Yes we need more actual friendships outside the church. I totally agree. I just encourage all to embrace your Christian siblings and remember.......if. you do not like something in a sermon or church .......don't toss the baby out with the bath water

Went to this church because of the series they were teaching on and figured with a smaller church it would be easier to get to know people. Boy was I wrong. I got there early to get to meet people. No one came up to me to say anything. The ones I said hello to just said hello and walked away. Later in the week I got a letter from the pastor saying he hoped I felt”welcomed from the parking lot on”. I took the time to write him back to see how many times a person had to come to his church till the people there spoke to a visitor. Gave him my name, email and phone number and never heard back from him. So I figure the coldness comes from the top down. The teaching is very good. Just don,t come to get to know people.

Came here today, broken. Empty. Hopeless. Afraid. What an amazing church family they have here. It is obvious that they genuinely care for people. I left here feeling like a HUGE burden has been lifted off my soul. What a blessing to have found Refuge Church.

Another church that uses the NLT translation which is number 2 absolutely trash right after the MSG translation. They can do better, this is just cringe.
