We were killing time in Red Bay waiting for service on our Tiffin motorhome, so we went to the Red Bay Museum. Traveling around the country, we have seen a lot of these local museums, but this is one of the best we have seen, especially for town the size of Red Bay. The museum is only open two days a week for only a few hours, so it is easy to miss. You can easily spend an hour or two here. There is a really nice collection of Tammy Wynette artifacts and memorabilia. We enjoyed our visit and recommended it.

Note: google may say it's open 1-4pm Tues. and Thurs., it's 1:30-4pm still tues and thurs.

Very good set of memories from a time gone by. Remembering Red Bay as a bustling place.. Great place to take children to show them how things were. Might make them more appreciative and grateful for what they have....

Sure, there may be fancier museums out there, but this one is a very nice collection. On top of that, I came a bit late but the curator stayed an hour past closing to chat with me and tell me about the things on display. This is what makes this a five-star establishment.
