The team at Morning Pointe Tuscaloosa has been amazing during assessment, move in and now resident assimilation. We had an urgent timing situation and everyone was so helpful and organized. The welcome has been wonderful. They planned a meeting where I met all the Directors. Each was totally focused and eager to help my loved one thrive in his new home. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Always a very pleasant atmosphere. I met Mrs. Staci Pomeroy for the first time and she was so nice and did a wonderful job on giving me information about Morning Pointe! I have also had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Kendra Martin, Mrs. Sharon Hollie and Mrs. Kahlalishia Williams . All three so sweet and welcoming. I enjoy going in and visiting with staff and the residents. The staff are so attentive to the residents. Mrs. Cindy Potter is a pure joy to welcome you as you come in.

Overall it has been a positive placement for our family member. However, over the last months , the facility has opened up ALL areas of the building to dementia patients , rather than having them secured in a separate wing . This is causing mayhem with the non dementia patients , who don't want to be badgered , scared , and intruded upon in their private space by those who aimlessly wander unattended .
We pay big bucks for the services here and ALL residents should have the dignity of being safe and secure !

My mom has been in the care of Morning Pointe for just a few months, and after an adjustment period, she is now enjoying her new living environment. The staff members go out of their way to make sure her needs are always met and make her feel at home. They are well aware of even small things (like her afternoon coffee) to make her stay more comfortable and personal.

My mom was at Morning Pointe for the past three years before requiring a skilled nursing facility. We were pleased with her care especially over this pandemic period. I was usually in to see her several times each week. The staff had to do all that families usually did for their residents in addition to their regular duties. The care staff at Morning Pointe are capable and considerate. My mom never had complaints about her treatment by them. We appreciate the kind spirit of so many there. The only complaint my mother had from time to time was about food. I think they do as well as most institutional dining programs. (She moved from a larger retirement facility with a very nice dining room and a restaurant-like menu but even there complaints about the food were common.) We are grateful to those who worked daily with her to provide a safe and pleasant environment. She was treated with patience and respect. We appreciate the care she received. She said shortly after she moved in that it felt a little more like home to her. I think the smaller size of the facility contributed to that.
