This place is not structured like everyone tells you it is. We have girls that just keep coming back bc if the drug court they have here. The staff oh lord the staff, some take the power they have a little to far, other staff help cover others lies an press charges on someone when that incident didnt even happen all just because she don’t like the girl. The food is the same all the time chicken patties or hamburgers either tots or some other stuff. Then the Facility it’s self is just nasty and could an amazing cleaner person to come here an give it an amazing clean, like really the girls side showers have mold in there an they say just clean off an it keeps coming back because if this place gave us the right things to clean with thr I do believe this place would look hella better than it does so. So I don’t recommend that u come here from here for treatment for one the staff isn’t here to teach the class let alone have it. If u could go somewhere else I would recommend it would be a hell of a better than this place

Staff is horrible. Brandy is the devil. They need better beds for the people there. Sleep is a part of sobriety. All that funding and they can't afford better beds smh. Such a sad place to be

I got sent to KPEP for TASC Mental Health Court for their RDAP program and what I can say about it is the staff wasn't perfect.... The therapists and case managers are good but security/front desk staff could use some work but honestly my least favorite part was the other inmates, most of them are part of the entitlement crowd and think they deserve best of the best treatment even though realistically speaking the majority of us contribute very little, if even anything at all, to society. My drug treatment was good and I learned a lot in my RDAP class and even though it was a challenge I am thankful I got this opportunity as an alternative to prison.

A family member of mine is currently here and his father just passed away today and I tried to call security to speaker to my family member to advice him if the passing and the security absolutely refuses to let me talk to him saying he's isn't allowed to say if someone resides there which I know is a bold face lie! I've been to kpep and I know how the system works there. Clearly the staff don't care about the residents and don't care to advice the residents when their noticed of a residence family member passing away. Kpep needs to be shut down, they treat people like garbage and expect people to change they're behaviors and mindsets.

The place is a great idea in theory. However I just picked up a friend there and was told there is actually methamphetamine and other drugs readily available by others staying at the facility. Security is very lacking and both drugs and cell phones are readily available. If your going to have a treatment facility you need to address these issues. Addicts will find any way to circumvent the system. So in my opinion this place needs a full makeover on how it's run. I would not recommend it to anyone truly needing help. It's more a place guests for guests to pass time on a reduced jail sentence.

Rampant staff turnover. There are residents who have been here longer than most members of KPEP Security. Systemic communication failures are par for the course. There are some good people at work, but in trying to be too many things to too many agencies, KPEP has earned a charitable two stars. It's a zoo being run by a circus.

Treatment? No they are all about punishing you. They go around looking for things to write you up for and put you in restrictions. It is filthy too... Carpets in the rooms need to be removed because they stink so badly. And drugs run wild in this place. 1/3;people actually complete the program. That says a lot right there. Non profit They make so much money it's crazy. A ramon noodle they sell in their store is 75 cents. And they have people work in their coffee shop for nothing. They can't even take the tips they make. Terrible place for treatment. Great place for punishment.

Kpep is all about the money. They may be an "independent " contractor with the MDOC, but make no mistake: they will do whatever is in their own best interest financially. I would not recommend this place for any type of treatment or housing.
