I’m sorry to see this cool little town look so bad. When I left there 25 years ago they were rebuilding downtown and it has so much promise. Every so often I would revisit and something changed.

This isn’t a political judgement rather an observation. Whoever is making their decision (not just downtown but the surrounding areas) has made so very poor choices and now it’s showing.

I’m at a loss as to what happened to that very cool city. Just sad.

The new building was gorgous in its modern look. 180 Water St. There for an Arts Council event at Kazoo Promise offices. Sleek but yet welcoming, their space includes the main corner. Nice glass design and lots of light. Hope to be there more as they said they want to be an Art Hop stop w their students, alums!

They really was no help at all. Went to purchase downtown double dollars. Told me had to do it online. Went to my car 12:10 purchased on line. Hadn't received the bonus dollars. Emailed them to be notified that my purchase wasn't processed in time to get the bonus bucks !!! How is it they could charge my card at 12:15 & not be able to get bonus bucks And if I wouldn't emailed them would they have told me. I'm all about supporting small business but this was very disappointing.. Hard to beleive they were gone in 15 minutes.

Kalamazoo has changed so much in the 50 some years I have lived here, I have just started shopping downtown and taking my grandkids to check out all the things downtown has to offer. Wow there's so much where to start? I guess I would have to start off with the museum and all of the interactive indifferent programs they have going on there most of the museum is free to the public there are a few things that cost but not very much, then there are the parks in the playgrounds and the huge Library with all of the fun things they have going on there that are free. There are all the neat shops little girls love to Window Shop and dream about wearing and so many unique little shop things you wouldn't expect to find beautiful artwork and lots of crafts and artist stuff on display. Then there is all the history of downtown Kalamazoo and the Beautiful architecture of the old buildings and some of the new buildings. I love the fact that they are going back to the neon signs so much more attractive. You just got to get out go down there and have fun. And shoot there are lots of restaurants to try and all of the new breweries starting up. Kalamazoo is just started to grow again maybe in a different way but as long as there's fun and new jobs and good employers, that's what helps our city grow and get attractions to come in. Love this town!!!!!!
YES THERE REALLY IS A KALAMAZOO!

I really like what they're trying to do in downtown Kalamazoo. Whether or not it's going to work only time will tell. Lots of places to spend your money but parking is still an issue.
