This food bank serves most of Central Alabama's food distribution. We live in Pike county (Troy) and some people who also go and need food. The last 6 months of picking up food has been awful. The volunteers stock their cars and their friends cars before the food is given out, leaving a lot of needy people without the food they came for. This has been ongoing for awhile now. We are in desperate times. And it is gut wrenching to go sit in line for 6 hours or more only to get screwed in the end by greedy volunteers loading their cars with food meant for destitute people. I hope someone at Montgomery or Heart of Alabama food bank reads this review because I couldn't find any other way to let you know but your good deeds are being wasted in Pike County. And I know others who feel the same way because of this unfairness. Thank you and God bless.

I had a delivery from here to New York City. According to the documents I was loaded with a weight of 40,230 pounds. The loading was on February 26, 2025. In fact, you loaded me with about 46,100 pounds. In the state of Virginia I was stopped at the scale and fined $835. I am disappointed in your honesty. The broker said the driver himself was at fault. God be your judge!

First. Don’t sleep here, not a lot of space for the people picking up food.
Second, if you are delivering check in at building 4. Very nice people and fast. Sometimes they will cut the seal or they will tell you to drop it on the rear of the trailer.

Heart Of Alabama food Bank is located in Montgomery Alabama. The Staff and Volunteers work Very Hard, Yet they all Make Sure To Be helpful and answer my questions. The caring For feeding The countless County's they serve and keeping millions of pounds of Frozzen and fresh food available is Absolutely Amazing.
