Hello to everyone.
I know this is not the proper place for this post but thought that I would take a chance anyway.
Does anyone know any of the Girl Scouts from Michigan who visited Expo67, Montreal Canada during the summer of 1967?
It's a LONG time ago but it would be nice to reconnect with friends made during that great summer.
Thanks for any help.

There is nothing available to Troop leaders who are disabled!
Since becoming a troop leader I was told I would get a mentor. That never happened.
I signed my girls up for a night hike, I was left in the dark. Pitch God damn black. After saying, I have degenerative joint disease, I fell in the shower. I use a cane, I tried to catch up. I also mentioned if it's pitch black I am extremely unstable due to my vision.
I didn't realize you're not allowed flash lights.
They will not wait up for you.
They will leave you lost.
They will not help you.
If you are not a typical Gull Lake kid or someone like them, you and your troop will be outcasted.

My troop was absolutely miserable at the hike because everyone ignored them and whoever was running this rolled their eyes at one of my girls asking for help.
$80 for 2 kids for what? They got to eat a smore, bite a mint and write 2 words on a sheet of paper in the dark. Wow. Oh, yes let's not forget the hike that you said rain or shine, you cut it short to go inside.

The adults and kids all have their cliques. It's clear y'all don't teach your children the girl scout way OR law!
This is why I became a troop leader. To give kids a non toxic environment and teach them life skills!

What did my juniors do to earn the Eco camper badge? Did biting into a mint teach them anything about outdoor wildlife and nature? Writing a word in the dark.

No creatures could be heard in the hike because the brownies were being too loud.

It's honestly appalling to my troop, husband and I that you have a COMPLETE disregard and disrespect to those who are disabled!

What an absolute waste of money!!
Don't give this organization money on these "trips" plan a way you and your troop can earn the badge together in the safe environment you created without the drama from all the Karen's and their kids.

Make you program accessible for disabled adults and children!!! Isn't that a law

Talk to those who have volunteered their time to help YOU!!! Give them the resources YOU PROMISED!
When you plan an activity, make sure it's accessible for ALL!
God, what if a child needed a wheelchair? They just miss out? Right? Because y'all can't plan your programs accordingly. Fix it. Now.

I sent my application over a year ago for my own troupe and never heard back from them. I know I would of been a great addition and could of made a difference being a girl scout myself in my younger years. Their loss!

I am really dissatisfied with the delivery of my cookies. 10 dollars in deliveries & 80$ worth of cookies you would think I would have them within two weeks. No it’s been almost a month!
