The people are amazing. The energy is great. The poetry will bring tears to your eyes. It's a great place to come once or come a billion times. It is super welcoming. And if you want to improve your poetry skills I recommending going to their writing workshops every Thursday.

Allison Kennedy and a bunch of other people are doing marvelous social work with young people at the Fire Historical and Arts Collaborative in the Edison neighborhood of Kalamazoo, MI. Workshops, open mikes, and competitions, to name a few, are some of the activities we have attended, all interesting and enjoyable. Recently they managed to acquire the landmark building of the fire station, so we wish them the best in their new endeavors.
