Since Beacon has taken over our company, I have seen CHANGES to move us into a great direction. Beacon core values enable us to provide the best customer service to our clients. I enjoy the enhancements to our positions which enable us to run safe and efficient programs. Looking forward to my future as a Beacon employee. The clients and families are loving the enhancements made to some of the houses especially our new handrails at our homes and the new carpet. We all love it!

I enjoy working for Beacon Specialized Living for many different reasons. One reason would be the support that comes with every team member and how everyone makes sure that everyone is included in all the different activities. Another reason would be how everyone reaches out to make a difference in all the client's lives, like making sure that they're giving the best support possible. I enjoy seeing the impact I leave on my client's lives and how much has changed within them.
I also think it makes a HUGE difference with how much training Beacon has to offer, including all the videos and even in-person training. Personally, in-person training helped me a lot just because I could see how to perform certain acts of safety and I could also meet new people that are working for Beacon as well.
With the continual growth with Beacon Specialized Living, I truly believe that we are one big team, and we should do as much as we can to continue to strive forward and provide all the care for OUR clients and even team members! (:

This field of work is one of the most rewarding jobs. We are able to elevate the lives of the individuals we serve. Beacon as a whole really does a great job at boosting the community we serve. They are our main priority and Beacon makes sure of that. In my experience with Beacon, this company does a great job in promoting growth in different work areas if I choose to take my career path in a different direction. The PTO package is excellent the longer you are with the company as well.

Beacon Specialized Living suffers from lack of communication within the company. Too many times are there instances where not everyone is on the same page and that it is not explicitly communicated across the team. I think Beacon has an issue with hiring staff as well. I've worked with the company for several years now and have heard horror stories and have seen horrible staff working with our clients I see daily. It tends to overshadow the amazing staff that constantly give their all, thus why the turnover rate is what it is. The pay rate is also not nearly enough for the job we all do every day.

I think Beacon needs to thoroughly check staff before they hire them. There are too many people that are just let through and hired for the sake of being a body to care for these individuals. The people we serve deserve better. Incentivise the good and hardworking individuals that are here.

Im sure the company is fine but one of the employees thinks it’s appropriate to bully others online. One of them decided to bully a woman online who was going through a mentally tough time. For someone who works in the mental health field i would expect a better personality and morals. It’s ashame the wrong people go into the field they do. I’m not one to leave reviews however, this behavior is unacceptable from someone who works with the vulnerable. Do better or don’t leave your work information public 🙂 I’m happy to provide more info if need be

I have been working at Beacon Specialized Living for almost 5 months now and absolutely love it. The managers and other co workers are great and make the homes flow easily. Working with the individuals has been great and very rewarding. Many opportunities to work your way up in this company. The benefits are great as well as the pay. Overall I have been extremely satisfied with my work here at Beacon.

I enjoy working here. Management goes above and beyond for staff and residents. This job can have hard days but it’s well worth it. Beacon management does strive to make a difference in people’s lives including staff and residents. Beacon helps us all work as a team and has opportunities to go further in the company. Beacon offers level up raises, holiday pay.

I’ve worked at Beacon going on 6 years. My experience here has been nothing but good. I love the home I work at because I love working with the clients and building relationships with them. I have a strong and understanding management team who have been there for through many highs and lows and am forever grateful for them. I see myself continuing out my employment here for years to come.

Beacon Specialized Living is a great place to work especially when it comes to transferring work skills to real life skills. The amount of communication in the Artworks day Program is incredible and cannot be matched by any other job I have had. My only con of this job is that I feel as if that we are not compensated enough for the amount of work that is done during this job. The PTO and benefits though do make up for a lot of the compensation as the starting PTO the first year is very high for a new hire. Overall I would recommend this job to a friend and is one of the best jobs I have ever had.
