I reached out to OutFront about a year ago, as I was homeless and trying to secure shelter or housing.

I was told that I was too old for their housing programs, and was given absolutely no help in finding a safe place to stay. I was told I would get a call back, and never did.

Instead of receiving any sort of information or assistance, I felt like I was a bother for asking for help. This was one of the most disheartening experiences I've endured.

Exceptionally friendly, accommodating staff, free LGBTQIA+ youth resources, and community groups for teens - OutFront is an invaluable resource for SW Michigan LQBTQIA+ kids and parents.

As a parent living in a small rural town with little access, this organization has provided me with hope and fellowship. Del, the Program Director, is incredible and helped with everything from finding gender affirming clothing resources to local gender affirming healthcare options and everything in between. They provide recurring activities and meetups to help with everything from parenting support to name change workshops.

Cannot thank OutFront enough for offering their unyielding space, hope, and support. Very grateful and privileged to have this organization in our area.

Though I generally think that the programs and services offered by this organization are beneficial, their bad administrative skills make for a poor experience. It will often happen that events not listed on their site can be found if you look in one of their many Facebook or Instagram accounts, or vice versa. It's happened to me multiple times where events are posted or canceled last minute, or posted but not actually happening. This has caused me to miss events or show up to an empty building many times. I've found it difficult to network in Kalamazoo as a member for the LGBT community, and I think that OutFront events (the best thing I can find for this) would have much better attendance if these issues were addressed.

Been calling the phone and left 4 or 5 messages in a 4 week time frame. Does anyone check the messages? Poor service and very unprofessional. March 4. So does this mean I'm going to receive a phone call back?
