Simply the best animal shelter my family and I have ever visited. 10 years ago my wife and I visited to see a dog they considered a "tough case". They were clear that we wouldn't be able to leave with him without a minimum of four returned visits so we could be trained in how best to care for him. In those four visits we were continually stunned by the quality of care, cleanliness of the facility, dedication to animals and kindness of the people and mission at the shelter. That dog passed away early this year surrounded by people who loved him in a home we set up based on the training we received from the facility. Soon, we will adopt another dog from Bellwether. This is the kind of place that deserves support and attention.

I have adopted a dog from Bellwether and been involved in some of their public events. I have always been impressed by how much the staff work with and care for the dogs and cats. This is a very worthwhile shelter to support! If you are looking for a pet this is an excellent place to go.

This is the best shelter I’ve ever been too! The staff is amazing. The building is so clean and they are so careful and protective over the animals. It truly warmed my heart to see how much they cared !!! I know when we adopted our baby from there we were getting a loved pet 💕
