If you are homeless to stay here you have to go to Bible study or they kick you out it is unconstitutional and illegal reporting to state FREEDOM OF RELIGION

I was homeless in Alpena Michigan years ago. And I stayed at this homeless shelter. And a guy named Troy was the main person at this homeless shelter back then. And plus I was down in the basement painting my finger nails. And I got kicked out of the homeless shelter. Because of it. But the homeless shelter was nice at the time.

These people are the best, I would highly recommend anyone if your homeless and regarding if their is room they will help you in many ways. I would like to thank all the staff for all the great work they due. Please stop in and tell them how great job their doing.

Gotta agree with Kirk ya know. They think they are even above the law I feel sorry for the directors husband. Why would such a man have to deal with a women such as her. They threw our family out on the streets because my wife had to stay overnight at the hospital due to complications with her pregnancy and because it wasn't approved by the director they decided to make a meeting without any kind of notice that way we were forced to miss said meeting shortly after all of this they tried to tell us we couldn't come get our things the same day they were kicking us out. We were forced to call the police to get our stuff as they were holding diapers car seats and baby wipes for our current children from us. By the way. The password for the wifi there is 1090ENorway. I called and asked if there was anyone could rake leaves for me. I was willing to pay more than minimum wage and I would pick them up. I didn't get one call! Apparently no one wants to work.
They said they don't do it anymore because they weren't making a profit. They wanted me to pay over $100.00

I am the maintenance director at Medilodge of Hillman and hired sunrise mission lawn care this spring to take care of our facilities lawn. Honestly I wish I could give them 10 stars they are the most honest hard working folks I’ve ever hired. I highly recommend this company for any lawn care needs.

It serves a great purpose in the community for those who are structurally challenged. It claims to be faith-based but the only thing that even resembles that is a bible study once a week. The mission takes no precautionary measures to stop bed bugs from coming in the door and staff is poorly educated about infestation, if they're even educated at all. Staff training is extremely limited leaving them poorly equipped to serve clients. If you absolutely have nowhere to go its a great place but keep checking other shelters while housed.

This is a great mission. you cook your own food, and its in a homely setting. The people actually care about there clients. I am living proof. I am no longer homeless thanks to these magnificent people. especially Lesley!
