The Sierra Club apparently values trees over human lives.
I gave them a donation a few weeks ago when they contacted me by phone. Two days later I read online of trips they were sponsoring to Israel in order to highlight the forests planted there. They neglected to mention that these forests were planted over the remains of Palestinian villages that the Israelis destroyed.
I contacted them and demanded that my contribution be refunded. I’m still waiting. I will be filing a complaint against them with my credit card company.
If you value HUMAN life, find another organization. I’d give this one zero stars if I could.

This group of down-to-earth, caring, and funny (with a side order of attitude and sass -- in a good way!) do lots behind the scenes to keep Michigan a worthwhile go-to travel destination and ensure the safety for all (human and otherwise!). 'Definitely check them out online and support their efforts any way you can.
