I was approved for assistance through this agency. The notification of the assistance never showed on my bill like it usually does even after 2 months of waiting. I called the energy company to inquire if they were ever notified. I was informed by the energy company that they had not been notified. I called the NCCAA to see if there was anything else I needed to do and why they hadn't notified the energy company of the assistance and I was met with an attitude, was interrupted before I could even explain the reason for my call and when I inquired why she was being rude to me I was told she wasn't and to just hold on." I was then transferred to someone who was equally as rude as the first and hung up on. I called back and was greeted with yet another person who had an attitude upon answering and who kept interrupting me, but told me I was the one being rude, when I was patient and kind with all of them from the beginning and just asking to be heard, my issue to be understood and for respect as I wasn't disrespecting them. They proceeded to call me back to tell me that I was being rude, though I wasn't, and that she had the right to refuse service. This agency is scandalous and a joke, and they absolutely have no idea how to treat people. I was kind to them and was treated like a criminal because I had a question because I'm handicapped and get confused easily. I'd advise you to find help elsewhere, because these people absolutely do not care about anyone or their well-being.

The staff is so amazing! Always warm and welcoming. The place has a Casual atmosphere and the ladies make everything so easy. Never any Hassle or back and forth for missing paper work. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you leave happy. Everyone has always been so kind and respectful to everyone that needs a little help. They are organized and efficient. You can tell that they genuinely want to help people... I can't thank them enough for all they do. I always leave with a smile and allot less stresse.

This place is so unprofessional.
The man/lady running around likes to use slurs and bad mouth the people that need services. Making fun of people with disability’s.
They mistreat employees. Bullying and harassing them. I would seek help elsewhere.

I could not make it without the help of North central community action services they help me every year to catch up what what is starting to pile up on me. I really appreciate them very very much for their help every year NIPSCO is one bill I can never keep up they are so high for my budget. They are so helpful and easy to work with I never ever have had a problem with North central community

I went through this place to get the weatherization program assistance to my moblie home in 2015 the tank installed leaked all those yrs .I just found it 10/08/18 after damage to my wall health carpet and floor seeing different doctors no 1 could tell me what was wrong.After black stuff comin out from under wall where tank was it all made sense. Then i contacted Ncca all the weatherization manager wanted to do was change the fitting off it.The tank had mold got rusted on bottom my floor is still got same moldy floor.mold spores through my whole house bedroom carpert im still not well and i still have a wall missing .My place was left a muddy mess and moldy mess they dont care about the client only the money they get funded .Im still sleeping in a sick house being sick I have no where to go.Becareful if you use this program free don't mean good!Promise It costed me ALOT!!
