This little love bug is Tess. She was the quiet one amongst all the other cats, and stayed quiet when two other cats got into a brawl after they were taken out without us knowing they would not get along. Once put back, I opened this little one’s cage and she jumped right on my shoulders. I was sold. She is a pure joy in our lives and I am so happy I found her!

Had two random dogs come to my yard. They are both friendly and they were sweet as they can be. One of them had a little side mark which needed to be looked at but I called us animal service and they said they couldn't do nothing unless they were vicious. It doesn't matter if they are or not. I don't want to leave them outside by themselves when one of them might be injured. Joe, they got to get their crap together. Doesn't matter what time of the day they should be open 24/7, just like the fire department or sheriff's department because Anna was deserved to be treated the same

My son and I are now the proud "Daddy" and "Nana" of "Bear", who we are finding out is a local celebrity here in Ludington. The 3 of us couldn't be happier!! Thank you Sarah Colbrook for you help in this adoption.

I called Animal Control about 2 big dogs running free in our sub. The officer came out within 30 minutes and took care of things. Very impressive.

Only one visible employee, but cages were reasonably well kept. Adoption fees are reasonable as well.

A few staff people were very friendly and helpful. The director and the old lady at the front desk not so much. You would think having people walk in the door you would want to warmly welcome since they are potential adopters but both of these ladies really give you the cold shoulder. They could do so much better!

Rescued a cat that had several issues requiring vet attention. Cat was deemed healthy and adoptable. Volunteer was not knowledgeable, but acted like she ran the place. Building is in need of a good cleaning and management change. Have heard Mason is a no kill shelter, which is not true. Reports submitted to the state prove otherwise. Rescued another cat, she needed vet attention as well. Was too far gone. Gave her quality of life for 2 weeks before she passed.
