My family and I went on atrip to the H Mart in Ridgefield New Jersey on Saturday. Of the 4 of us who came on the trip 2 had never been there before.
The selection of fresh fruits and vegetables was large the prices were about average for a super markt the quality of the produce was excellent.
After I went over to the fish market area. Lots of fresh fresh fish was on display. All the fish was fresh; there was not a fishy scent in the fish market area; I had been told by fisher man that that was a good thing. The freshest fish has no fishy smell.
Next I went over to the Kimshee area of the store. I have eaten kimshee only once before. So I was surprised at the many varieties of kimshee for sale at the H Mart. There were also a great variety of prepared Korean side dishes for sale at the H Mart. I have to make another trip to continue to learn about the wide variety of prepared foods and fresh ingredients for cooking Korean food.
It was delightful to walk around The HMart. My wife and daughters bought some food. The sea weed was selling at a fair price.

Wish this place was closer because not only is it probably the most well-stocked hmart in north jersey but it has a whole indoor mall with the face shop, clothing shops, bakery, hair salon, morning glory (sanrio/hello kitty stuff, gifts etc.). And last but not least was able to get 공기 (korean jacks, seen on netflix squid games) so we could play on lunar new year! It was $3 for a pack of 10 jacks; way better price than online!

Super H Mart needs to be experienced! From the great produce to the amazing meat and fish departments, you will find something you like. Korean, Thai, Japanese and Chinese products are all represented here. A huge aisle of rice and noodles. Their Japanese section alone rivals most markets. A wonderful selection of rice cookers, woks and kitchenware. Prepared foods available as well as a Cafe near the back with Korean bowls, Ramen and fried chicken. Spend an afternoon, enjoy the experience.

Big, really big, and the store covers a wide range of east Asian products. I particularly like this one because it has a Japanese section in the back, a small foot court and a liquor store outside. It is impressive for someone coming from NYC. The fresh vegetable station is one my favorite spots inside the store. Although they carry strong odor products like Kimchi or fresh seafood, they have a good ventilation system to keep the air relatively free from the unpleasant smell, good job!

This one is way bigger than Little Ferry and Paramus stores. Wide variety of everything you are looking for Asian foods. The store was very clean! Fruits and veggies are always fresh and workers in the seafood department are super helpful!

First of all they have very good selection and quality overall. Worth 5 stars.
One Korean staff was sneaky and cheap, when they sell “live abalone” the guy would give you dead ones and lie “they are the same, the living ones are for seeing only” … so bad trick that should be reported to FDA. 1 star from there.
Make sure you watch them deal with your seafood if live, they might cheat and substitute. Overall unless necessary I would avoid the seafood counter.

I just love roaming through here as I shop my groceries. It’s a huge marketplace with a huge selection, fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, snacks, appliances, you name it. There are also other shops that sell bread, alcohol, clothing, toys, cosmetics, and more. Sometimes they give out free samples of fruits at the front!

The parking area is big so you shouldn’t have too much problem finding one but sometimes it does get packed.

Like people have already mentioned, ALWAYS check your receipt. I ran into a few occasions where the cashiers accidentally scanned and put the wrong price. I had to come back, bring the product and receipt and show it to them. They will refund you the amount. It’s annoying but I get it, there’s so many people in line so cashiers rush and make mistakes. So just check your receipt right then and there.
