They give you a fast tour. They don't explain very much, but they want you to work, that's the focus. I'm very disabled. I can't work. I wanted a place to meet people. Make art, but art is a tiny little aside here, Just 2 times a week for an hour is what it sounded like. People who want to work will do very well here, it's just not what hoped for in a "club."

Grand Avenue Club serves the most amazing lunch fare. It is a great place to pass the time with true friends. A tour is provided upon request made via phone call with at least 7 day advance notice.

The Grand Avenue Club is a community for those with minor mental disabilities, a safe place open during the day for any that are interested. It offers an array of opportunities for its members to take part in maintaining and building upon the organization. This includes a daily lunch program, a news publication called the Phoenix, an art gallery, and a well-developed library system, which further gives members the opportunity to borrow books and films. It also helps its members find employment. The club serves a large constituency in the Milwaukee area, and inspires many, myself included, in its mission and accomplishments.

Always something here 2 remind me that more citizens are mentally ill than they let on. Coincidentally, as long as a member isn't looking for controversy & strife, they're less likelier to find it. As a member, we just choose to stay focused on a positive attitude necessary to keep the tried & true intact. What's likable about it is members & paid staff share responsibilities--everyone can meet in the middle. Also, it's separated from either church or state, however it endeavors to meet them halfway on any real or imagined ventures.

Cannot say enough about the GREAT people you find at The Grand Ave Club! When I was Hungry they fed me. When I was thirsty they gave me something to drink. When I needed a safe place to go they welcomed me in. I truly cannot say enough about how much I appreciate The Grand Ave Club!

It's amazing to go to. You work said by said with members or staff. You get a good lunch FOR only 2$. Every last Wednesday of the mouth lunch and dinner are free. The gac is open 365 days it's open 8;30 until 4;30. Expect Wednesday's it's open from 8;30. Until 6;30. It's weekend and holidays from 1 to 4.
