We saw a post on FB for Darwin and immediately fell in love with. I contacted CAS via fb and they responded within minutes. We scheduled a meet and greet, we were able to visit with him and spoke to Ms Sandy. She was so honest and willing to answer all our questions. We went home and thought about it for several days and was able to return for another meeting to make sure we would be the right family for Darwin. I’m so thankful to the staff for their willingness to help us pick the right pet for us! The shelter is the cleanest and friendliest I’ve ever been too. Everyone there truly cares for all the animals. I refer all my friends to check out CAS! We even go by and visit and try to stay in touch with several friends we made there!

Best experience ever!!

I applied for some cats about 3PM on Friday and I heard back from them and had my application approved by 5:30 PM that same Friday. I set up an appointment to meet them first thing on Saturday.

Jo Ann, the lady in charge of the cats, was incredibly nice and helpful. She gave me her personal cell phone number and was very nice and answered all of my questions. In addition, she set up for the foster mom to be there when we met the cats so we could ask her any questions we had about the cats.

When we chose our two forever babies, they only charged us for the price of one cat. They also gave us a few free toys, blankets, a cat litter box with a scoop and a large bag of free litter! We couldn't be happier with the cats we got!

Also, their cat room was immaculate! It didn't smell strongly of any odor. It just smelled like a regular room. The way they keep the cats and pair them up, you can tell a lot of love and thought goes into this process and that the cats there are very well cared for. If you are looking for a cat I highly suggest coming here!

These morons running this shelter need to be fired They are rude and it would be easier to adopt a child than a pet here. I have lived in Collierville for 36 years and even adopted a dog from them 20 years a go and kept him until he passed a way i had no problem adopting him and the people were friendly i am calling the mayor.

I had my heart set on this Aussie Shepherd pup. I turned in the application on a Monday, got called two days later and asked me about my prior dog's rabies shot record if it was at another vet than the one I listed on the application. I gave the woman the information and asked if I would get a call back the next day, she said "yes" and that was on a Wednesday. I never did and by Friday, I looked on their site if the dog was still there, it wasn't and I never got a call the rest of the week. Good job CAS! You broke this military veteran's heart! I'll definitely look elsewhere!

Everyone was very helpful in giving me the information about a dog I was adopting. Great knowledge within the staff members I spoke with. I found my Huskie a forever pack-pal who had been there waiting for adoption for a while......waiting for ME!

Staff was very friendly, helpful, and cared about the animals well being. Facility was clean and animals were obviously cared for. The dog we adopted, Raina, is such a sweet silly girl! We absolutely love her! Definately recommend adopting from this shelter. Thanks again!

Over all, it was pretty good. But I do understand the low ratings, too. They do almost act as if they don't want to adopt out any animals. I can see and understand the complaints about the staff being rude, too. I nipped that attitude in the bud real quick. After that, I found the absolute best companion in the world. He's just a damn good dog. I even got a discount on his fees. It helps to be big and tattooed these days. But truth be known, I'm soft hearted and gentle. But I'm a firm believer in demanding respect from those whom I've given respect. *Edit* I lost my angel this year. He was so special. Everybody loved Apollo and was there for him anytime. Friends would come over just to take him for a ride. He was allowed in homes of folks that never had inside dogs. Kids that were horribly afraid of dogs, Apollo loved them til they lost their fear. He amazed everyone he met. His face was all you had to see and you knew he was loving. He never barked, he knew no strangers. Never growled or shown his teeth, he wasn't able to be mad. Though he looked tough, he wasn't. The most special American bulldog. The roles were flipped, I was honored to be his friend and caregiver. I would have died for him. Those that knew him, knowing Apollo will go down as the most memorable occasions in their life. I can't find words that have been spoken in all the languages, of this world, to explain my loss. Thank you, Apollo. When I met you, you were called Maddox. I thought I was rescuing a dog, but I met my angel instead. I miss you so.
