Hi I was a former employee of Autumn Lake Assisted Living North and South Court. I was there no longer a month. I was actually over qualified anyways and under paid. I had 6 days of training and learned nothing. I figured everything out my self. I was used and treated unfairly. I do not like how management treats their staff. They asked me if I was able to stay over from night shift from 11pm till noon the next day, and they would take me off my night shift that night. I thought that was fair. She then asked me if I could do the same thing on Saturday going into Sunday, I said yes. She then said again I will take u off nights. so when the time came I was wondering why her little assistant had me sign a pick up paper. Which they never did this before. But they knew they were going to try to make me work that night at 11pm till noon, and come back the same day and work another night shift. But that was not what we agreed upon. So out the blue they just fired me. Because I did not stay over I was very exhausted and getting over a virus.While I am diabetic with Lupus.I was really working my butt off.Then come to find out they were really upset about another staff member being found in a residents room sleep in her bed while the resident was there which other staff members were in there too and took a pic. But did not fire that person. I feel like me working here was a waste of my time. And everything u said to me was a lie. I knew I was way too good for them. I mean all the residents were crazy about me including the staff.Management even came to me their self to tell me how excellent I am. But I believe because I am not going to let anyone treat me any kind of a way. Or belittle me. That's why they have so many Young Adults taking care of people> and they are NOT doing a good job. I encountered so many things. I knew it was time for me to leave. I pray they get it together. And management stop running ur staff away. It's you guys not ur staff under u. God Bless.

This was honestly a terrible experience for my mom. The day staff was somewhat decent, the young workers were the nicest to the residents. The night staff was absolutely terrible. I had to help my mom call the main line in several occasions because the call light was on and no one would come. One night worker told her “my back hurts, I ain’t coming back in here no more.” The worker then left and didn’t return the rest of the night. They gave my mom the wrong meds and wrong quantity. Not one worker read her medical chart or medical history, including the “therapists.” If you care about your loved one, please do not send them here, they will be left alone and unattended to.

Autumn lake is a great place. The staff is wonderful, making sure the residents are taking care of. I appreciate the communication between family and staff.

My mom's quality of life has improved tremendously since she got to Autumn. People in need can find a great opportunity here in town. Lorraine, Shantel, and everyone at this "home" are exceptional. Highly recommended!

I have been a caregiver since 2005 for my mom dad and brother. I depend on the resources that are giving to me.I rarely go on any vacations. I really wanted to celebrate the new years on a cruise. So I went into looking at autumn for respite care for my brother. January I found autumn lake ask lots of questions. I follow up in October again asking for respite care. Started working with Felicia told me everything I needed to do also did a tour and everything.I was the one doing the communication the whole time. It's not easy making transportation for wheel chair people. We live in milwaukee county as a caregiver we know about they so called transportation.
The resources are there but the people in charge are doing very poorly job. I'm not the only one that depends on respite care people save to go on these trips. To get to the facility in be turn around because one lady didn't do the job,She was hire to do is very heart breaking that trip cost me 3 grand. Ms. Opa calling him a her over and over tells how much communication was giving for my brother. Opa didn't even know his name. I had to cancel my trip there was no way to make it to the doctor to get the paperwork just because you have to scheduled at least two weeks out for unpaid ride if you paying or not. So I had to put my by brother who has servere S of the spine in a car to go back home I knew I wasn't making this trip. All I want is an apology from Felicia for ruining my trip that was very important to me. You drop the ball you didn't even ask for my name and number. It just seems you were always busy when I call. Even when I came those two times. Just do better for the next person that really needs respite care that spend they last saving up for a trip. Thanks Linda I wish I started with you from the beginning.

It was very difficult to select a place for our loved one for hospice. Autumn Lake staff did not disappoint. The Director of nursing, The nursing staff, The Housekeeping, the receptionist and the business office were wonderful to work with. The admissions coordinator was not as helpful as she could’ve been, but as far as the facility and the staffing they were wonderful. No complaints.

On my 1st time visit to see my Godmother, I enjoyed the friendliness & helpfulness of several on-site personnel. From front desk people, to aides, to nurses. My Loved one seemed cared for & content.

Lisa in the business office is almost as bad as dealing w/Annette. In one meeting when I asked Lisa what would happen if my father couldn't pay she said it wouldn't be the first time they've had to release a resident to a homeless shelter or the street. She did say I wouldn't have to worry about that because my dad has a home he owns & can either return to it or use it to pay for his stay. She decided one morning at 6am to storm my father's room, demanding a check that wasn't even fully due. Then followed it up by a lie, possibly more than one. why? to stir the pot which was a game of them, whose looking out for my father. Hoping we would argue & things would go their way.
Opal at the front reception is wonderful. She might say different of me, but I'm looking out for my dad in there. She helped a lot in transferring calls that always went ignored by management.
JC also works the front desk & is a charismatic gentleman who also runs the onsite barber shop. Amber the nurse practitioner, was incredibly helpful & went out of her way to pick up the slack of Annette. Tabitha in physical therapy was great & spent lots of time with my father & she did great with that. Heidi in subacute was great. AVOID NADINE. The woman whose name I can't remember right now but usually has a little hat on & passes the food out has a great personality. The janitor whose name is a blank also right now was always friendly & in good spirits cruising around on his hall cleaner machine.
a lot of other people who were helpful but they were either fired, moved around, scared off by management, or worse I would imagine. I'll be following up with this review and
I again realize this all my opinion but the statements above of mine and what was said to me are all 100% factual(proof based) and just the tip of the iceberg of a failing home health care facility.
