There are so many choices when you are researching memory care options for your loved one. We've tried others but finally found ActivCare Rolling Hills Ranch for our mother. They have 100% of their focus on memory care. Their care is all inclusive with personalized care plans. I can not say enough great things about how all the staff is so caring and attentive. I have lived local and out of state and I know my mother is getting the best care possible every day. She is happy, active and safe. Volunteering at ActivCare has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. The atmosphere is full of warmth, compassion, and genuine care. Not only are each of the residents’ needs met, but they are also actively engaged with card games, trivia, and physical activities.

Spending time with the residents was incredibly rewarding. Whether I was helping with activities, sharing a conversation, or just being there, I felt like I was truly making a difference. It was amazing to see how even small moments of connection could brighten a resident’s day. Even if some residents weren’t always fully aware of what was going on, it was important to me to make sure they felt comfortable and cared for.

This experience not only made me feel grateful to serve in my local community, but it also reminded me of the importance of patience, empathy, and presence. I will always remember the moments I spent going on walks, reading Bible verses, and listening to the life experiences residents shared with me. I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to be part of something truly impactful.

If you are looking for a special place for your loved one, be sure to check out ActivCare Rolling Hills. Memory care has been the best fit for our family member. ActivCare Rolling Hills is attentive to his needs, requests, moods, emotional and physical health, and general well-being. The daily activities calendar has hourly games, discussions, movies. There are outings to local sights for those able to participate. If there's a health issue or question, I am notified right away. I am confident in the care provided at ActivCare Rolling Hills.

A consultant advised me to consider Active Care for two primary reasons - they only took memory care patients and they had a good reputation for dealing with aggressive behavior. Carol (my 100 lb 88 year old arthritic wife of 67 years ) was asked to leave her current facility because they could not deal with her hitting, kicking, and biting their caretakers during daily care tasks - her behavior was mostly because she just did not like people taking her clothes off.

A visit to Active Care Rolling Hills was impressive (high caregiver to patient ratio, many planned patient activities, frequent bed checks ... I could go on ). Director Bee Bee Smith was confident they could handle Carol's behavior. Carol moved in. It only took a few weeks for them to resolve Carol's aggression - mostly through caring and patience. Carol gets along with all her caretakers and they all show affection for her.

Active Care is staffed with people who really do care - kudos to management, recruitment, training, and technique. In my many visits to Carol I am overwhelmed with observations of the caretakers awareness and rapid response to their patients needs - including little things like providing a warm blanket, helping to eat, helping to play games and participate in group activities, and providing welcomed hugs and kisses. At each visit the first caretaker I see shows me where Carol is and advises me of any supply needs and any pains or medical issues they are tending to.

The facility is well named. Everyone is very active and very caring. I truly love them all. Carol has been at Active Care for 5 months now, and I have yet to see or experience anything that one could describe negatively. We made the right choice. They are definitely a 5 star operation

My mom was diagnosed with dementia in 2023 and we moved her to ActiveCare at Rolling Hills Ranch in early November. Her stay was cut short after five months when heaven called for her. During that time, my mom was very well cared for by the many caregivers and nurses. They truly care about the well being of ALL of the residents. We saw it first hand many times during our visits with my mom. All of the staff at ActivCare are very friendly with both the residents and the family visitors, and we got to know many of the them. The nurses frequently called us with updates when my mom's condition changed, and we really appreciated that. The provided meals were healthy, and were adjusted at times due to changes in her health. There were many activities during the day for the residents to participate in as well. ActivCare is definitely an A+ operation and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The residents are so sweet and I love interacting with them. The activity’s are fun and creative and i enjoy helping. The staff is also super friendly and helps make your time there nice ! 🙂

My mom had dementia and was no longer able to live with me due to her declining condition and my need to be at work to support my family. She lived at ActiveCare for a bit over 3 years and was so happy and well taken care of there. I cannot say enough positive things about Sophia, Bebe and the whole care team there. The staff was always compassionate and was very good about keeping me in the loop of any changes that were occurring with my mom. Having her there allowed me to feel comfortable and visit without any stress. I was able to take her for walks at the park right next door every week and spend time with her in and outside of the center. I feel confident that she was in a good place. The care level was catered to her needs and expanded as her dementia symptoms increased. I am forever grateful that I found this home for her.

My Mother suffers from advanced Alzheimer's, and has been a resident at ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch for about one year. I have been extremely impressed with the standard of care, and with the loving manner in which the the team carry out their duties.

To emphasize HOW thoroughly impressed I am, I need to back up one year, when my mother was finishing her second year at another Memory Care Facility. "Mom" had an undiagnosed UTI and became extremely aggressive toward another resident. The other facility sent Mom to the hospital and told me she would not be readmitted to the facility. The trauma of the incident, including physical and chemical restraints in the hospital, triggered a health crisis in which a doctor told me Mom might be on her way out.

I looked for a new facility and prayed that Mom would have one more chance at life. I'm not afraid of her end, but this all felt premature, triggered by the incident, not a result of her illness. I found ActivCare, Mom was admitted and immediately placed on hospice. The hospice team assessment was that the end was near.

Fast forward one year: Mom has rallied, gained weight, and is no longer on hospice. Her Alzheimer's decline continues, but I am at peace knowing Mom is loved and VERY WELL looked after. I have the highest regard for her caregivers and the leadership and high standards that resonate throughout ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch.

It is no exaggeration to say that ActivCare saved Mom's life and gave her the opportunity to finish her Alzheimer's journey in peace.
