As I came down the driveway for the first time this past Sunday, I was amazed by the natural beauty of the campus with its soaring trees and green fields. As I entered the sanctuary, I was warmly greeted by members of the congregation volunteering their time before worship. During the service, my heart was deeply moved by the sacred music offered by the choir, with great expertise, faithfulness, and joy. In addition to its wonderful and historically-informed music program, I found Christ Church to be a thoughtful community of people who deeply care for one another and their neighbors. Putting their faith into action, they are currently engaged in multiple forms of community outreach and service. After my first visit on Sunday, I look forward to joining the congregation in worship again.

I was married in Christ Church Portola Valley nearly 56 years ago to a delightful young lady. We continue to have a loving life together. My visit was a reminder of that wedding day. My brief visit with the current rector was most pleasant and I wish her and the church members well for the coming years.
