What a great place to learn how to be a musician! The April block party was amazing, and all the kids seemed to enjoy getting on stage and learning what it's like to play for a crowd. I'm so glad we have this cool music school in our city. Bravo!

We’ve had such a great experience taking drum lessons here. The teachers engage the students with their love of music. The “recitals” are cool block parties where the students are formed into bands and get to perform. Definitely check them out if you are looking for music lessons.

Interesting venue for local talent and artistic expression. We watched an outstanding three man improv performance. If you are into bougie venues and are a bit of a fancy pants, this place is NOT for you. However, if you enjoy watching raw talent in an underground type setting then you will agree this place deserves five stars. Parking is in the back. Located near several good restaurants within walking distance.

Thank you, Firehouse, for what you bring to the children (and adults) of Birmingham! “Music is the universal language of mankind.” Thank you for the block parties, the music lessons, the mentors, and the friendships you bring to all of us!

Politics have overrun this venue and I will not be back. Politics have no place in music scenes and if yours differ from the people working the door you are guaranteed to have a bad experience
