I have nothing but good things to say about this VA Clinic location. The staff are friendly, helpful and service is always very professional and prompt. I enjoyed meeting Dr Coker today. He is friendly, kind and listens to what you have to say. I transferred my care here from that train wreck Rainbow City location. MUCH happier here!

We are extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful, state of the art facility in our city with some of the BEST healthcare professionals! They truly function as a TEAM working cohesively together to ensure a smooth visit. From scheduled appointments, phone calls, to stopping by for “in person” clarification, this Team demonstrates compassion, respect, and genuine concern for veterans. And the individualized care received from NP BURCHFIELD has been Top Notch! His tremendous knowledge, communication skills, and thoroughness blew us away. NP Burchfield’s sincere personality made us feel like “old friends”. And the staff … WOW! From the moment we enter until the time we leave, each individual demonstrates the utmost patience, sincerity, and genuine empathy. Thank you all for being difference makers because you are positively impacting lives and setting an example for all human beings to follow!

This place is a disgrace and I've been having to come here for 15 years now. Finally crossed the line where I have nothing but disdain for it. Cleanest building you'll ever see but you are the least important thing in it.

If you rely on the VA for service, especially mental health, pray you don't live near this one.

Understaffed. No doctors, just nurses at this point other than one psychiatrist who only exits to issue prescriptions. It's nearly impossible to see someone about getting your health diagnosed outside of the once-every-6 (usually more like 8 due to constant rescheduling on their end) month blood work.

Want a simple eye exam? They must hire a monthly contractor to knock everyone out at once because you'll be lucky if you can get in within a 5 month window. Despite never seeing more than 2-3 people in the lobby at a time, it's clearly more busy than a television show emergency room behind the doors.

If you're here, work your way away from here. Probably better you just drive the extra mile and bog down the ER in Birmingham because you're forcing them to actually attend to you that way.

My father has felt nothing less than recognized, appreciated, and cared for at the Oxford V.A. Clinic. From the friendly, helpful reception staff to the outstanding medical personnel, everyone there has been stellar in the performance of their vital role in keeping my dad well. We're both extremely grateful. A special thanks to Brian Wingate, his current primary care provider, for his knowledge and genuine concern. Also, to Wauketa for helping keep his records and meds straight. Thank you all sincerely.

Have hired staff to wipe down and disinfect the chairs, desk, counter top and Kiosk after each patient finish or get up. Chairs are spaced apart and mask are being worn.by staff as well as patients.

This isn't funny anymore, my husband tries to contact you since this morning due to a positiv covid test.Whoever called him back, left him a message on the answering machine to go to the emergency room.He called again and the other lady told him she can't understand why the first lady said that, she will talk to her and he will receive a call back. We are close to 3 PM now and nobody called him back. So, he called back again to talk to somebody else, that Lady told him she will check and to stay on the phone, which didn't last, because he was kicked out and had to call again. REALLY?! Nobody can call him back? Now he is on the phone again....still waiting.
What is wrong with you and your system? Never seen something that bad and this is how a retired disabled Military Vet is treated....what a horrible experience!

Well the clinic has moved to an updated building but the phone system has gotten worse. I tried this morning to rescheduled an appointment. Stayed on hold for 30 min. before the system just dropped me, tried again same thing happened. Finally called again (3rd time) at lunch and finally got through and then gentleman was nice enough but he could not change the appointment. Took my number for a return call from the nurse at the clinic, waiting..
