Briefly needed help with receiving an item. Was offering to give them my older one and receive another of a different style in which they had no problem setting it up. Day later I receive a call that I am no longer able to receive that specific type of furniture due to the fact I asked to more-or-less exchange instead of just simply receiving. I thought this was a "Christian based" program, but most of them are very rude to talk with. Save yourself the hassle.

One of the best places in Ludington to go for help. They'll even help with a gas card once per year to assist low income families or individuals in making an out of town medical appointment. Yes, Muskegon Recovery Center; Cherry Health and Eastside Outpatient Services appointments ARE medical appointments. You just need proof of your appointment. (Whether or not they have available gas cards, is another story. Don't just count on it, call first. As they're distributed on a first come first serve basis. I believe they're purchased or donated quarterly but don't quote me.) Very kind, Christian oriented charity. They don't shove Jesus down your throat though. Unless you ask for it 😉❤️

Rude lady yelled at me for sitting items at bay door after I was told to do so by another person. No sense of customer service or explanation, "please place items over here and we'll be with you soon." "Thank you,"
Just a hateful, ungrateful attitude. " YOU CAN'T JUST SIT STUFF HERE!" , I took my donations elsewhere.

Great place, very helpful if you're in a bad spot and need a few household items. They also take donations/returns. They helped my father out a lot. I highly recommend considering this place for help.
But please, don't abuse the kindness and generosity of them. This community needs the help, they don't need to be abused and forced to close up shop.
So if you're updating, moving, remodeling or whatever else then I suggest this place to donate anything you may not want, need or able to keep as long as it works and is clean.

This is a nonprofit helping the community of Mason County to get items they need. On Saturday they had a free lunch and live band for the community. The food and entertainment was great!

What these people do for others is so beautiful! I stopped in for help myself the other day and was blown away by all the assistance they offer to those in need! This entire organization is such a selfless act of kindness, bless them 🙌

While I am sure these folks do a lot of good works in the community- our experience was terrible. Called ahead to make sure we had necessary proofs etc.. to apply for help with our porch (we are both disabled)and were told what time of day was best to come in
When we went in, the Lady working the desk was rude, and after filling out the necessary forms we asked if there was anything else we needed to provide. She said "I have no idea- someone else does that!"
Waited 3 weeks- never heard back..called and got a different person who had no idea what I was talking about... she found our papers which had NEVER been forwarded to the right person... we then waited 2 more weeks and called back... no answer so we left a message...never heard back. Apparently it's who you know with this organization.

They are beyond helpful and very kind when offering help. We recently needed some help with furniture and they have everything we asked for just waiting for it to be delivered by them since we dont have means to pick it up
