They did an excellent job on my mother. She had been sick and lost her hair but she looked beautiful. Very impressed with the job they did. The visitation room was cozy and the perfect setting. They personalized it to my mother and we loved it.

In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, you opened a literal door and warmly welcomed us during our darkest days. Beth was amazing! From my first connection over the phone (and 700+ miles away), she assured me she could and would work with us to coordinate a beautiful home going ceremony for Dad. When I arrived, Beth executed every detail with precision and care. She remained patient and kindly adjusted to my never ending requests. She offered wise counsel and genuine comfort. Beth and the entire team were very accommodating. I was equally impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the convenience of the location. Again, thank you Beth for being a reliable source of encouragement & an ultimate professional during a very difficult time. You turned our sadness into gladness and our fears into HAPPY tears!

My boyfriend’s family chose Ridout’s for his mother’s funeral. I’m so glad they did because they did an amazing job on everything. Beth took amazing care of us from the very beginning to the end, calling us everyday to get all the details right and being kind and patient while we chose everything; she made suggestions and helped with ideas which was so nice of her. I really do love how they are trying to make funerals more modern and personable for everyone. It’s comforting being surrounded by happy reminders of the one you love, rather than just seeing a casket. Everyone on the staff was extremely nice and respectful, so so very helpful and patient with all of us as well while we were grieving and trying to make it through these awful times. I would definitely recommend anyone to Ridout’s - they really take care of you and let you know that you don’t have to go through everything alone. Noah’s mom’s ceremony was absolutely beautiful and she would’ve loved it so much.

Rideouts in Gardendale went above and beyond for my sister and I at our lowest moment. Losing our mother, we were simply devastated. We worked specifically with Casey and Corinthian, and we will forever cherish how they both handled everything with such care. We had no idea what to do following the death of our mom but Casey gently guided us, learning everything about our mom in the process and made her celebration of life so special. Down to details that my sister and I, frozen in our grief, couldn’t think of. She also brought up details that were inclusive of my 3 nieces, so they felt part of the celebration of life for their grandmother. Casey is a bright light that we stumbled upon at a dark time, and we will forever be thankful for her helping us.
Multiple things had to change after we had plans set, and Casey and Corinthian were so graceful in the change of direction and did everything to make the transition as smooth as possible.
They both deserve 10 stars for their hard work, dedication, knowledge and care.

From the moment I called initially after my fathers death, Beth Calloway was endearing and sympathetic. We scheduled an appointment and delayed the appointment twice but Beth assured us that she understood and was very kind to us. During the review of the options for the service, she presented everything very well and took our comments well and wasn't overly pushing trying to 'sell' options that we didn't want which we appreciated very much in the mindset we were in. We chose a catering option and then changed it the day before the event and Beth was unflappable, making the change seamlessly. Beth has the perfect personality for what she does. I cannot say enough positive things about her.
We buried my mother in this same facility 8 years ago and the building has undergone significant changes, all to the good. Before, the walls were bland and the building interior felt very 'septic'. Now there are coordinated wall colors to go along with the new furniture. The rooms are inviting and cozy like a living room in your home. That made a huge difference during the visitation and the catered meal. Bravo to these changes, they are excellent.
We have no complaints about our experience. Everyone was very pleasant, the events were handled wonderfully. Thank you so much to all the staff!

Rigout's Gardendale Chapel provided a wonderful celebration of life experience for my Dad's service. Beth Calloway went out of her way to make sure we had everything we requested. Everyone was polite, professional, and accommodating. I would recommend this Chapel to family and friends, but with that being said, I would encourage anyone who hasn't made pre-arrangements to consider doing so. I feel that we spent more money than we would if we were not full of emotions and overwhelming grief. The staff was aware of our emotional state. Although they seemed genuinely sympathetic, they used it to their advantage to upsell products and services. We were not made clear of all the available choices, and we purchased the higher-end products and services, believing that was our only choice. Overall it was a good experience considering the circumstances.
