Super helpful in the beginning . Told them my situation and seemed willing to help . She gave me a personal number from one of the advocates She called and I told her my situation. A week later I texted and told her I needed some advice. And will text her later that night . When I texted her again . Message wasn’t delivered. Hopefully this isn’t a normal thing. I hope my situation wasn’t serious enough or she blocked me for safety reason. The two phone calls I had . They did listen. And seem willing to help.

New management does not appreciate donors & supporters. Our company has attempted to reach out numerous times to reengage in fundraising events & learn how we can continue to give to the organization but have been given NO response. We will not support an organization that does not appreciate or need our help.

I wanted to do some volunteering for the summer. No integrity, absolutely there was a communication issue! This was the worst experience and wasted summer. Spend two days a week doing nothing, getting up early to sit in a room. During the whole summer getting up early to achieve something and only was given two tasks. Why would anyone want to do that? Expectations is the least from this nonprofit (not male friendly at all). Trust was also another factor. Nothing was confidental. Would never send anyone in need here.

for the people complaining about lack of communication, ability to volunteer and not accepting direct help\engagement... you are naïvely judging. This is a DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER... meaning that ANYONE involved is a safety risk. Please think before you post... if you have never been in a SERIOUS physical abuse situation, you likely don't understand the need for privacy and discretion as it could LITERALLY get someone KILLED without those policies.

They have been absolutely amazing and even helped bring my daughter and I back together! This Wednesday we have to move on. To another shelter but we will never forget what the women at YWCA have done for us.

I needed some help with an issue and the staff at this location was so helpful. And was very quick to helping me resolve it. If you are a woman who is looking for so guidance just give them a call. They might be able to help 🆘

The YWCA Helped me and my children when I was younger and my children were little, without them and the Flint police helping us get out of a Dangerous relationship,we probably wouldn't be her now. All my children are grown and we never forget the love . ❤️ ❤️
