One camper shared their experience: "I decided to come here to take a trail and see what it's like. It was so noisy because of all the work that they are doing here and also very muddy once you start on the trails. It is very well marked though my dog did enjoy being out here hiking. I ended up doing the short Loop because I could not climb the rocks due to the fact that my dog was with me there is a very tricky hard section of this trail. I followed the all trails map and did a complete Loop."

3.29.22 We hiked the 3-mile loop. My 1st time here, very cold and windy, uphill all rocks and boulders, very cool!! Trail was well marked. Many spots were muddy but easily passable, and some spots had icicles. This trail could be tough on someone older or with bad knees. The terrain was beautiful and different.

Sloper is beautiful all year long! I’m sharing photos from four seasons of Sloper. The fall colors are especially gorgeous. The green trail around the pond is great in the summer since it is shaded. There are so many places for kids to play on Sunday. This is a wonderful resource in Southington.

We are so lucky to have Sloper here in town. For use for YMCA members. Summer camp is held here but it is open year round for use. Tons of hiking trail around the pond and up the ridge. Super slide, fishing, ninja warrior course, and much more. Beautiful foliage especially this time of year.

This place is beautiful. We come here every year for an event the school puts together. There are so many outdoor activities. Basketball, 4 square, ninja obstacles, hiking, bonfires, playgrounds, baseball field, Frisbee area, race track, volleyball, gaga ball, a giant slide built within a hill in the woods, and the gorgeous lake. The camp also has a walking path that takes you through their scenic views.

This place is great! The kids love every part of it, from the big slide, tree forts and ninja course in the woods, to the playscape and trails around the lake, it's just awesome. The entire family enjoys going there, and they continue making updates, just recently putting in a new splash pad and fishing area.

I can't say enough good things about the wonderful experience my daughter has had this summer with Sloper. Letting my kindergarten aged daughter head off on a big yellow bus and to a camp with roughly ~1000 campers a week felt scary ... but EVERYTHING has been done at a pristine level. From the attendance taken to ensure everyone is on the right bus, to calling parents each week and giving them an update on their own child, to answering emails and questions all winter on the camp ... TOTAL thumbs up. We will be back next year! Thank you!!

I love camp sloper but some of the time they were using there Imagination and every time they made something up the counters wouldn't let them and they just kept complaining about it but the whole staff is extremely nice to everyone and a lot of the time they would always be happy and so alive but the other half they weren't.....Happy
