I called their hotline to ask what was required to get assistance for a friend who needed resources. The representative who answered was extremely rude, cut me off several times, and did not allow me to say what my call was for. Had I been someone calling for help for myself, I would have been left feeling so hopeless and distressed.

They are clearly a for profit organization. My wife who has a severely abusive alcoholic mother went into this men hating cult to get care for issues we have had during our relationship. She did it as an attempt to get help and therapy so we could improve. I am currently taking care of three kids because she has basically abandoned them. They have her on a strict care plan and I have never seen her so feeble minded. She is with her mom and her mom won’t even let me discuss matters with her in regards to children or their health. She has the most gloomy personality I have ever seen. And she is wanting to tear our family apart and give up on everything we’ve ever built because her whole perception of men has changed. I emailed a counselor telling her that she is being controlled and manipulated by her alcoholic mom and they said she is protecting her from dv. Her mom has been harassing us for 9 years, including my mom who never did anything, calling her horrible names while she is on a drunk binge. Read the other reviews. The director driving a 100k car while toilets of the facility don’t work. Turning down care. Ripping families apart, demonizing men. Invading privacy. Read that one. This place is demonic. They don’t want to get down to the root of dv which is men not having resources to stop dv in the first place. Truly an evil place. They don’t want to solve dv. If they did there’d be no money to launder right. I suggest women with husbands and families to avoid this place and try and get your husband help. Find him resources. All the resources for women are money ops demonic to the core, they are preying on low income. If you can get private, care—-get it instead of this which is tearing families apart and making the women dependent on the nanny state. It’s a self sustaining organization: don’t prevent dv at its root with men, create dv, make money on grants and donors, then get women on the nanny state to have them use more social services and create more government.

I survived domestic violence, so I drove 20 minutes out of my way to donate items that were like new, used once for my wedding, and some expensive clothing. The man who accepted the items was incredibly rude and seemed to have a smoldering anger as if he were an abusive person. I handed him a bag and told him there were drinking glasses in the bag that had been used once. As I went to grab another box, I saw him toss something and then heard a sound like glass breaking. It's been almost a week now, and I still feel horrible about the entire experience. I shouldn't feel bad after making a donation of items that i could have sold myself. I don't understand why this man is working at a thrift store that raises money for domestic violence.

I visited the store today Oct 20, 20 and was so impressed with the help and the items in store. Valerie the cashier was so friendly and helpful even as she was very busy helping multiple customers. She was multi tasking to say the least, kept a smile on her face and I believe she actually cares and takes pride in her work. 5 STARS Valerie keep up the good work. My day was a pleasure and I’ll be coming back often. Note to management, she’s a keeper give her a raise!

28 day stay & case management doesn't help you find a new place to go after that. So if you're a single (no kids) you're homeless or you go back to your abusive ex - what I'm doing because it's too cold to sleep outside. There was no hot water in the bathroom/shower, no hand soap & very little cleaning supplies. House Staff does do basic cleaning after hours. Counseling felt more like a police interview than trying to help me get over what my ex did.

Travel way from Ohio to start over with my three follow all the rules the house mother Veronica was very standoffish didn't want to deal with nobody had a very nasty attitude didn't want to hear I was told by another staff name jazz that Veronica and her best friend that she works that they purposely black I had an argument with a new girl who stood up in my face and Veronica who's also Mexican like the girl told me to leave here I am with three kids no car from ohio they offered no help to another or anything I found a complaint with the they did not transition any of the black girls while

Most of the clothes are expensive. I have seen some clothes that have been very much used and torn and they cost around the same price as clothes you would find new at Ross or T.J Maxx. Computer monitors are almost the same price as new ones at Walmart or Best Buy and have been used and have signs of wear. The only thing I like about this thrift store are the discounts. They have been better than a few other thrift stores. Also concerned about pricing because I have came here a few times and for about 4 times I have been told that an item is not the price they have been expecting and will not let me buy the item unless if I want to pay more than the price shown on the item. Most electronics looked like they have been taken out of the trash because I have seen some that smelled weird and awfully dirty and don't even work. Vacuums were awfully dirty and most of the time they were missing things like tubes and a belt. Most of the socks and underwear I have seen have been used and have had some stains and holes and they cost about $3 just for one pair of underwear which is the same as buying new ones at Ross. DVD's are about $3 which is fine since they are priced the same like Goodwill. Blu-Rays are what they charge more for. VHS tapes cost around $1 which is also fair since most people don't use VHS tapes anymore. I have had terrible experience with cashiers. They have sour looks. They don't seem to be happy. They would say little or nothing. I do like that they are supporting for a good cause though and it has proven to be a good successful mission. They have 60% sales every April and October which gets really busy and other days are empty.
