Spent the weekend at Wildhaven for my husband’s birthday. It did not disappoint! Our whole stay was nothing but memorable! The tent accommodation with the bunk beds was spacious, clean well equipped and ready by the time we checked in. The no contact checkin was a breeze and made it quick for us to enjoy the place. Plus we got the early check in option too which was a great idea. The toilets and bath were clean and very useful because the bathrooms were heated too. They had a very clean prep area and dining place where we grilled and washed our dishes since they had a number of sinks available for everyone. Not to mention they had free coffee and hot cocoa for the guests.

We had the time to enjoy the river by throwing pebbles and dipping our feet in the water. It was too cold to swim but would have been nice if it was summer time.

I would definitely recommend this place for families, couples and friends who just want to have a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The quite hours was perfect for a relaxing rest to end a happy day. One for the books! Glad we gave this awesome place a shot!😁

A huge shoutout to Tom, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. I must have asked a thousand questions, and he answered every single one with patience and kindness. His knowledge and hospitality truly made our experience even better.

Absolutely amazing!! My girlfriend and I booked a tent at Wildhaven to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Tom had reached out to us the day of checking in to inform us of a recent storm that had passed by the area leaving some debris around the campground, apologizing for the appearance and letting us know some of their staff would be cleaning up around us. To our surprise, the area and facilities were beautifully maintained and taken care of with no complaints on our end!! Checking in was super easy and we were able to park right behind our assigned tent, making it super easy to transport our bags and camping supplies. When we got into the room, we were left a parking pass that had “Happy 5th Anniversary!” written on it. The room was well kept and we were provided with clean sheets, clean towels, a fan, a heater, a clothing rack, a small mirror and new earplugs. The best part of the room was the heated mattress pad that kept us warm throughout sub 30 degree temps. On the patio, there was a table with two chairs that were easy to transport to the lawn area 10 ft away where we sat and roasted marshmallows and cooked dinner at the picnic table. If you didn’t bring your own camp stove, the community kitchen area has 3 propane stoves with plenty of tables along with a coffee and tea table. Well kept bathrooms and showers stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap were conveniently located behind our tent making it easy to access after dark. Fresh coffee and tea were provided in the morning at the camp store giving us a great boost to start our day filled with multiple hikes around Sonoma County. My only complaint was that the tents are located by a road so you could hear cars going by at night but it really didn’t bother us and if it happens to bother anyone, you can use the earplugs provided. At the end of the day, we had a amazing stay at Wildhaven, Sonoma and can see ourselves coming back. If you want an easy peaceful camping trip with plenty of accommodations, this is the place to be!! Thank you Wildhaven for making this anniversary memorable (:

Location was easy to find. We stopped at the kiosk which was a smooth check in with Bethany who was very kind. The rooms were very clean. They had fans, reliable electricity, and heaters. I especially appreciated the heated mattress that was for each side of the bed. The firewood there was amazing. Great access to the river for sunset. A bit loud at night due to the road nearby but nothing we couldn’t sleep through. Coffee in the morning was good. Well stocked store on site with essentials

Our friends introduced us to Wildhaven in the Summer of 2022. We had such a great time cooking and eating together, swimming and cruising up and down Russian River, hanging out by campfire, and going for walks, that we have come back each summer since. This was the first year we also stayed in the Autumn/Winter. The location is very easy to drive to, not so long and windy or tiring for the kiddos. It is also gated off with the check-in kiosk and store by the entry, so it feels welcoming and secure. The tents are great - we are a family of 4, so we go for the standard or premium tents with 2 Queen beds. There are also more temperature-controlled cabins, which are pricier, but a great option for the increasingly hot summer and freezing cold winter. The people who live on site and work at Wildhaven are awesome. Wildhaven is lucky to have them. I’ve been able to call in and ask questions of a real person always. Bonus they are great and fun to chat with. The site is dog-friendly (on leash). There’s coffee, tea & hot cocoa every morning at 8 am. I plugged in too many things in our tent and tripped the electricity the first night. We called the emergency line as it was past hours, and Bethany came to the tent and fixed it. Derek, on site manager, came each day and delivered our firewood for cooking, also made sure our bill was correct and generally open and helped us with all questions. There’s also a large grill and picnic area if you don’t want to cook by camp fire. It’s so nice to getaway and feel so welcome. So nice to turn off phones and walk on rocks and grass, look up through the trees and branches and see sky, stars, geese flying overhead, hear owls in the dark early morning, and a chorus of birds after sunrise. The beds have warmers - we slept in 33-34 degree night, warm and toasty in bed. We’ll return - and maybe try their Yosemite location.

First time stay, and it was a great experience. The booking was for a riverside tent, and we had a nice space, the bed was warm and the cot was useful. The fire pit and hammock were nice to have. Everything was clean! The shared toilets and showers were really clean and accessible. Access to the river was convenient and the river is shallow with areas that reach 4-5 feet, the speed is quick and you can relax and let the river carry you. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks and we will visit again!
