As an RN/MSN who visits the Lutheran home 2X weekly for the past 2 years, I can speak to the quality of care that patients receive, as being top tier. The facility staff to include everyone from aides, Nurses, social workers, and volunteers… all the way up to the administrator, seemly go above and beyond to ensure patient satisfaction and safety. I would recommend any family unsure about nursing home life to highly consider Wellspring Lutheran home in Monroe, MI.

The staff here on the rehabilitation side are awesome! These nurses and aides were professional, caring very pleased with my treatment! As for the Therapy crew you ladies I can’t thank you enough for my treatment plan and giving me the lil push!!!! You ladies are awesome, they listen to what I felt I need and a plan of action was in progress where it made me push myself and not settle for less. Would like to give a big thank you out to the janitorial staff!!!! Excellent job with the bathrooms in room greatly appreciated as well as the facility! Keep up the good work

We are so pleased to have our Mom is this place! The staff is respectful, compassionate, fun-loving, and kind to the patients, each other, and family members! My Mom says, "It's like a cruise ship with activities!" She sure enjoys being there! We're so happy about our decision!

The Physical Therapy Ladies are amazing!!! Jenn, Julie, Gabby, Christin, and many others, they are the best of the very best! The hardest working women I have ever seen in this field. Many thanks to them for getting my Mom strong & mobile again. You girls rock!

My uncle has been here about 2 years. He's had excellent care and everyone makes it a point for him to feel welcome. I have access to info about him, opportunity for care conferences, and he is happy! So am I, such a relief to know he's cared for physically and emotionally.

My parents are residents of Wellspring. I cannot say enough good about the staff. They go above and beyond, which means the world to me. My dad tells me daily how kind everyone is to them.

If you have a concern about your loved one they listen to you and assure you that the matter will be taken care of but unfortunately it either isn’t passed on to the other shifts or it’s only temporarily resolved. It’s really frustrating to hear how sorry they are and “we’ll make sure everyone is aware” or they are short staffed or they’re new staff.....always an excuse.
My fathers food is supposed to be puréed and for the most part it is but some days the food still has chunks in it.
I’m sure these are problems that exist in most nursing homes but to rate this home a 5 star.... I don’t know how.

When it came time we could not longer care for our father, we turned to Wellspring. The woman in admissions, I don't recall her name, was so incredibly rude. They rejected our request, and didn't even bother to tell us. When we called to follow up, this woman was just plain nasty. No compassion whatsoever.
