I am a Waukesha Metro bus driver. I dropped a YMCA member off at this location. As a bus driver with limited places to use the restroom, usually establishments understand and allow us as public servants to use their restrooms. I was turned down and was not allowed to use the restroom, but the energy I received ..leads me to believe .. it's not because I just simply wasn't a "member". Honestly I just feel like the woman working the counter was mean and could have just let me use the restroom. Just wanted to voice my opinion.

The swim lessons are absolutely top notch! We do the parent / child swim for both of our kids and they look forward to it every week. My son who had a very negative experience elsewhere (to the point where he was afraid to go into any pool) was voluntarily and confidently jumping in fully by the 3rd lesson!

Our kids teachers are Mr Gus and Ms Bob- and they are both phenomenal.

Adapted swim on Tuesdays is my son's favorite day of the week. It makes him so happy and his instructor is phenomenal. It takes a really special person to communicate well with a child that does not have words.

This is not my home location I normally go too, but for a good reason.. granted I can understand big space can be difficult to acquire in the heart of Waukesha, however this location is a bit of a maze, outdated old equipment, and grimy.. I felt like I left with a staff infection or ringworm how nasty the building was let alone the equipment.. people don’t put things away or wipe down equipment, no staff anywhere but the front desk..

I take my son here for swim classes. We have had a great experience with our instructor and really enjoy the class. It's really great we can attend the class without being a member!

Our first few experiences with the women at the front desk were always pleasant and welcoming. However, we had arrived for our class and we were informed it was canceled due to the Holidays. We had not recieved and email about this, and after speaking to others, they also did not recieve anything. This wasn't the issue though. The woman at the desk who informed us of this was extremely rude and condescending. She made us feel as though we had done something wrong and was extremely unfriendly. We then go to the class a few weeks later and the same woman had met us with the same attitude. She doesn't seem to have the greatest people skills, and has the most unfriendly, and unwelcoming demeanor. It's unfortunate because this is the first person you see upon entering, and she comes off as hostile. The other workers have all been great, warm, and kind.

Horrible experience. The pool manager and staff never defended a young girl who got smacked and splashed in the face with hand paddles for swimming by another swimmer and don’t enforce their own rules about sharing swim lanes. We drive to other locations far away to avoid Waukesha YMCA altogether.
