Absolutely terrible customer service and communication in every department of Washington County Social Services. I've been trying to take care of my disabled mother and used to get financial aid to help. When I did my interview for assistance, the person I spoke to told me that I couldn't get cash assistance for that (I had gotten it years earlier for the same reason). After I spoke to a worker that told me they would have paperwork for me to pick up, when I got there it wasn't there. Months later My voices messages stopped being returned, and when I went in myself the person at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about and neither did his supervisor. They told me a PCA form was all that they could think of...found out the next day that's the wrong form and I should have gotten a doctor's written statement months back when I first applied, and now that it's been so long I have to start over and reapply because no body would return my calls and in person no one knew what I was talking about, a supervisor eventually told me this happened because "they are so busy"...Washington County Social Services needs a ground up restructuring, because something is not working on a fundamental level, these workers can't help the taxpayers that pay their salaries. I can not grasp how that they can have 2 employees working the front desk, and both say they don't know what I'm talking about and insist I'm talking about something else entirely and talk down to me. If you need government assistance, move to another county that doesn't pass the buck on responsibility on every level

Better than Ramsey County, Taxes are a little high, but now that the Biden clan is out the door, Trump is going to fix the problem and send all immigrants back. And all democrats politicians are going to get away with breaking the laws.

Seriously, a very nice place. Went there to see a Veterans Service Officer and got all my questions answered and got pointed in the right direction. Very helpful visit.

There no help! Workers don't know what there doing. I keep sending in info. Constant.i didn't get it yet. But I faxed and mailed it in.

Not happy with the whole process of my father’s case! The right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing at wash county human services!
“They want you to send the proofs they need” and your questions go to voicemail boxes that are full! Worker’s name seemed to change overnight.
I get it, they are busy this time of year. But answer your email or your voice mail!
There is no attention to details! And they don’t save emails, they delete them! I was told that! How do I send the required documents if its so vague! What proofs? I sent them four times now to various emails including case worker, financial worker, and CSES as instructed!
I’m so tired of this runaround! And who is in charge here? Find some social workers! Pay them better! Quit switching everything around! Consistency and response would be good.
“If you sent in proofs, you wont get confirmation” Weeks later you get snail mail saying you didn’t send the proofs! Jeez

The staff is so welcoming and friendly. They explain things well and did a great job administering the vaccines needed. Truly a dedicated staff who love what they do to keep the community healthy and it shows!!

While sleeping in my car at a rest stop in Forest Lake, an angel appeared at my window. 2 actually. They were outreach workers from Washington Co.. within 2 days I was in a shelter and off the street. Shirley N. is a miracle worker in my opinion. That being said, for the few months that Washington county helped me, they intercepted my entire Social Security back pay. Over 6k was just snatched away because they assisted me. Shady as hell. I am appealing this but it will take forever. Beware of the assistance.
