Manager was really rude. My mother is handicapped and I need to help her try clothes on. We were told that two grown women were not allowed to be in the fitting room even though we explain the situation he said take the clothes home and try them on and then bring them back when the receipt clearly says all sales final he was very disrespectful to my mother and we were not happy with the visit.

Called this place numerous times. They put you on hold disconnect or refer you to another agency. Everyone isn't mentally deficient or in need if food assistance. Sometimes just a helping hand will work. Not helpful at all. If you are called to serve then act like it.

I cannot speak to this location specifically, but advise anyone who previously took part in the adopt a family program in years past to consider maybe working directly with shelters instead of you want to aid people for the holidays. The new program "Heart of the Holidays" actually limits your ability to help people by capping the amount of money / gifts and individual can get. Before you could have really given someone a ton of things to make a notable improvement to their situation. Now $50 is all an individual can get and let's be honest these days a $50 gift basket is nice but that's not going to significantly alter one's situation. Please help those in need - just spend time and effort working with shelters to help people directly vs the VOA Heart Of The Holidays strategy.

They don't want free donations. I used them 1 time for a pick up. I have since in a weeks time came up with double what I gave the first time. I have a car loaded with stuff so I have no room. I called 3X different departments no reply!. Finally got a reply from a person in text. They want me to drive 30 minutes each way to one of their stores and make 30 trips with my car! Stupid. Now it all goes to the curb.

Looking for budget wheels. They have many. Here I am looking at mechanic special. Meaning you need to repair to have road ready. There are others on the lot that maybe of interest to you. Or drop off one to be sold. 🤔 I am getting the truck in the photos. I does need repairs. But it should last for years. God Bless.

It is a good place except for some of the workers here. I went there because I'm homeless got put in a hotel for a couple days then when my time was up at hotel there was still no room at the shelter for my kids and I. I called the v.o.a back to see what I should do next and the ladies response was "well you don't have anywhere else you could go?" Well if I did I wouldn't be homeless. I called the next day and it's been almost 2weeks and still no response. They will help single males before woman with children SMH

The V.O.A. is a great place, they gave me a place to stay when I was homeless, they help people with security deposit's, when you find a place to stay.
They also serve breakfast, lunch & dinner, 5 days a week, so you do not have to worry about going hungry. They also have great programs for veterans.

I went to see a very special friend who is like family to me, he is very funny, we would make each other laugh, I have some friends who are staff and there are some who need to learn how to treat people with respect, and not like trash. The dorm gets very nasty majority of the time, people like to make messes on the toilets and you will get bit by bedbugs at times. You have to go to bed at 8:30-9 pm. And Monday through Friday you have to be out of the dorm at 7 am, weekends out by 8 am to 6 pm. Daily. Monday through Friday you can stay in new hope in the VOA until 6 where you can get in the dorm.
