Very clean, tidy and well organized. Lots of items in great shape. We found 2 pairs of sneakers that were in almost brand new condition. The items sold here are in excellent shape, the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and the shop is a delight to go into. Something for everyone and they help support Veterans. One of my favorite place to go when I visit Show Low, AZ.

I took the time to read through the reviews of this small business. I want to share my experiences since some of the comments are rather derogatory.

I have a summer home in the area that I have had for years and years. My wife is a big THRIFTER, and enjoys the hunt for a particular treasure. We have visited Veterans Village Thrift Store over the last few summers and we've watched this little store grow by leaps and bounds. The store is clean, organized, well-lit and hosts a myriad of collectables/treasures with the prices clearly marked. Recently, I noticed that the store is under new management. I had the opportunity to chat with the new manager and a few of the Veterans who live on the adjacent property owned by the thrift store. I can only praise the efforts of the management and the Veterans who seek out purpose in life utilizing the profits from this store and who depend on the generosity of the surrounding community. In my experience, the people behind the scenes of this organization have been nothing but helpful, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to do business with. Every once in a while, my wife manages to strike gold in her thrifting efforts and more often than not with the help of the new manager.

If you're looking for a bargain, and desire top customer service, this is the place for you. If you're lucky enough, you might meet a Veteran who has an extraordinary tale to tell and how through the efforts of this store, and WALKING DOWN RANCH next door, were able to reclaim their life.

We'll be back to seek out my wife's next whim. 🙂

Horrible place veterans not welcome at the thrift store. The way they treated veterans is a slap in the face TO THOSE WHO SERVED. The manager and board are incompetent to run this place, they discriminate those with ptsd. still bed bugs in cabins. Volunteers that want to help are leaving

Veterans Village Thrift store sure has its ups & downs . 2years ago I swore I'd never step foot in there again. A friend brought me in 6 months ago , Bethany had taken over management & WOW she was amazing it was like a whole new place clean well priced happy volunteers. Well I went back this week & some very rude loud woman said Bethany was no longer there, what a shame . Store was back to un organized, looks as if no one was even putting out new stuff & they weren't excepting donations. Hopefully they will bounce back . Sad
