I would like to say as a resident of Mary's Haven, this program has over all been a blessing and more. I've been here for 7 months exactly today, and I couldn't be happier to be here. This is where my heart/home is for my kids and I. Over the months being here I learned so much about what I'm capable of doing for my kids and myself . The N/A programs we are doing daily have been helping me and our daily philosophy, every morning we read out loud as a group.
I'm grateful to have a roof over my kids head, a bed, a bathroom, blankets, ect… every item we have thanks to Mary's Haven. Coming from the struggle from barely getting by, to making ends meet. I NEVER WANT TO GO BACK TO THAT STRUGGLE. I've been working my program and doing what is in need of me here and it feels good to have a schedule to wake up to a clean home, cook healthy meals for my kids, and uplifting staff everyday. Speaking for myself Marys Haven is my home, the people here that i grew to know and get close with are like family to me.
One thing I can say is us ladies here all came from a different lifestyle/situation/backgrounds and I want to speak on what is unrecognized. Miss T is the most big hearted person I came across in my life, who will do anything to make sure the kids are always first and taken care of. Going above and beyond what she is positioned for far as work. She puts in so much love, compassion, effort for us ladies and our kids and I feel it's unrecognized . She comes in daily with LOVE right when she walks in and all the kids run up to her and say their good mornings and give her hugs. Even us ladies I can say run up and hug Miss T. She is more than hard working and there's no words that can top it off. She is fair, she hears us out in everything we talk about. I recently just had a baby. That night my water broke. I called Miss T and she was there in no time at the hospital with me at 2am. She stayed by my side when no one was there for me through literally everything, even the baby's birth. Overall grateful for where i'm at today and with the people around me.

Donated clothing here on several occasions. When I call by phone to check drop off dates and times in advance, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Though, the last two occasions when I drop off donations, the person who receives the donations seems bothered, a little unfriendly.

I enjoy donating here because Veronica’s home of Mercy is providing assistance for people in need, which is wonderful for the City and community. And I do believe they are making a positive impact on the lives of people who come here for help.

And I understand that everyone has an off day. I just really hope the initial staff who take the women and children are friendly, when they arrive to seek help.

They are treating my daughter awful and is not doing anything to be her but to abuse the the authority they have. They took my daughter’s ac
Privileges away, because she didn’t get rags out of the dryer, and they took her visits away to take ground meat out of the freezer. This Hass to stop and I’m going to make a difference in this place.

As a past resident this organization belittle me when I needed help with my child 8 years ago. Till this day I am traumatized by the Director Debbie actions and behavior towards me and her baised personality. Thank the lord that he has given me strength and I'm now a successful story. I have my own house and stability and I make 6 figures. Which took alot of hard work. God has blessed me and my son. But being at this facility has traumatized me to the point I feel the need to comment. I was belittle and treated as unworthy from the director herself after being a victim of human trafficking. Go elsewhere its not worth risking your healing.

This is a penitentiary. (JAIL) this is all about crippling "low class" citizens, so that they are completely dependent on the government. This is a brainwashing "program". This is what they do to chronically homeless people in order to "DOMESTIC" them. They take your EBT card, cash AND food stamps to buy food for everyone, YOU CAN'T HAVE A CAR which is mad disrespectful to adults with children, curfew, mandatory classes, probably force you to be vaccinated. It's a definite prison.

First, they wanna take all your cash aid,to feed everyone in the house. Then second, you cant have a job or a car. You can stay up to 2 years but when you leave you will be broke and back at square one. This isnt a house of mercy. This is a house of shame.DONT COME HERE.

Give them your food stamps to pay for everyone THAT ILLEGAL and they take your phone after 4pm You also have to sign an agreement to stay for a year and they make you take AA classes mandatory no matter if your not an addict and they don’t let you leave no one n outs and they take you to any appointments! This is a prison!!!

Kicked a lady out with three kids on the holiday with no services. They are stealing from the guest and taking it home for themselves.
