It's a terrible place, they mistreat the homeless there I've literally seen one of there staff square up with an elderly homeless man there as I was driving past, I've spoken to a few homeless and they said they got either mistreated physically verbally or inhumanely, and they left on there own free will or they got wrongfully 86ed. I've been in there once and that place is so depressing and seen one of there male staff members verbally degrading them. And the ladies that runs that place is far worse words from multiple homeless say that when donations comes in she shifts threw it and takes all the good things for herself like boxes of donuts, coffee good bread, burgers, ect. And gives the homeless there the scraps . Absolutely appalling and everything that I've heard came from multiple sources not just one, and everyone's story matches. God bless those poor people seeking help in there .

When you can get on the list. Do it early especially when the summer hours are open more than closed. It's better than the alternative and ac is necessary at times. Especially when you are swollen from being in a car to much

Absolutely terrible experience. I didn't believe the gossip that I heard from the local homeless until I witnessed it myself. The staff at VVHC are controlling, rude, and treat the homeless there like children they talk down to them undermine them and have witnessed verbal abuse such as yelling being told to shut up even physically fallowing a homeless man by the name of Dale out onto the side of main street yelling at him instigating a physical conversation. Also power plays such as locking the restrooms for days forcing us to use alternative means of waste disposal threatening to take away other necessities as well. The ladies that runs that place her names Ronda she is vary rude assumes that we're all ignorant and when we bring a concern to her attention she immediately dismisses us. Such as the swamp cooler not working properly it just blows air instead of slightly chilled air. We have all brought this matter to her attention and she's dismisses us every time, she lied and said that someone looked at it but it wasn't fixed and still isn't. I have called three times to try to speak with someone of the board due to false allegations against me residing and my 86 from that establishment. Allegations were that I was misogynistic and rude. And the only time that I had any problems with the staff is when I was directly disrespected and or yelled at unreasonably and uncivilized . I also left a voicemail because she would not give me a number or a reference to who to go to to talk about this matter and try to resolve it. I knew a girl named Lynn that will not go back there because of Rhonda. There has been two individuals that had told me in detail that Rhonda pacifically targets women that well are physically attractive treats them inhumane verbally publicly humiliates them and forces them out. Which I have also witnessed firsthand. Which I also have references for these specific encounters with the manager of the vvhc Rhonda. I have witnessed Rhonda act like a civil human being when there is donations coming in or customers are present or such a city members like the chief of the fire department or an inspector. But when they all leave and it's just us that reside she goes back to the rude demeanor that she carries for the majority of the day. And before I left I told her that if she's not good with working with people she should find another form of employment . The vvhc from what I understand is and was designed for the homeless community to retreat from the headache and the stress and the criticization of the public. Vvhc from what I understand was designed to be a safe haven for the homeless community not a place to add to it if a board member reads this please reach out to me. VVHC is a inhumane place and damaging to those who have mental health issues.

This place is still getting it's sea legs. Needs some attention to the details. Funding etc. Community needs to get more involved. The power's that be. Movie 🌃 are a nice touch. But were is the funding to get people off the streets. Should have funding for co-vid to house people so far nothing!
