When I needed to board my cat for a week, I turned to this animal shelter, and it was a fantastic decision. The quality of care they provided was exceptional. The staff was attentive, and I received regular updates on my cat's well-being. The value for the price I paid was unbeatable. Knowing my furry friend was safe and happy during my absence made the experience stress-free.

I just briefly stopped in there to get some information about places that offer low cost spay & neuter services. They were extremely helpful & they really care about the animals at their shelter. They have a sterling reputation in the Central Valley & along with Cat House On the Kings are the best no kill rescues in this area

I've had many wonderful experiences with Valley Animal Center over the years and know wholeheartedly the animals are so well loved and cared for in their facility ❤️ The staff has always been kind and extremely helpful and dedicated to all that they do in caring for the animals there. I have adopted my cat, Dilly from them who had a rough start but was so kindly taken in by VAC and nursed back to health, and really came into his own goofy personality. Dilly has been such a joy to our lives since adopting him and I couldnt be more thankful for VAC and all its staff for bringing Dill into our lives! The cat adoption staff was very thorough and efficient throughout the adoption process and you could really tell they care for their cats and only want the best homes for them, which as an animal lover I really appreciate!
I also fostered through VAC many times and can attest to the level of care and compassion that goes on behind the scenes to keep all the animals happy and healthy and nursed back to health when they don't come into the shelter in the best of shape, which unfortunately is often. Most of the staff themselves foster animals that come into the shelter and even off the clock the staff is caring for these animals- so saying the staff has dedication, is truly an understatement..
Through fostering, I ended up falling in love with one of my foster dogs and adopted. His name is Hank and he has been my rock throughout the years, and I truly couldn't imagine my life without him 💙 The dog adoption staff was wonderful as well and so helpful/insightful throughout my time fostering and even since adopting Hank. I can't thank VAC enough for all the support and for bringing my wonderful fur-babies into my life! I truly can't recommend Valley Animal Center enough!!

Ive been going to valley animal center for over 5 years now , and have adopted 2 of my cats from them whom were foster fails lol . They have always been helpful. I use them for any issue that may arise with my dogs or cats health . They very recently the took care of one of our dogs when she got a huge abscess on her neck. VAC took very good care of her and she is now fully recovered. I Definitely recommend them for all your vet and adoption needs .

I really like coming here I have taken my dogs to get their vaccines and wellness examine and they found that one of my dogs had a problem with his ear that I haven’t even noticed so that’s how I know they are actually checking him I felt so happy that they found it out since it could’ve been much worse by the time I would’ve noticed. The medicine they gave me worked great! And I love the selection of clothes they have!

We had a fantastic experience at Valley Animal Center. We adopted our two kitties same-day after spending some time in the cat rooms. The staff was so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We were able to get a free checkup at their clinic within 4 weeks of the adoption, which is really an incredible deal. They also gave us some food to take home for the cats which was really nice. We are so happy with our babies!

I would give more stars if it wasn't for the lady behind the desk at the dog adoption office on 11/1/24. The place is very taken care and so are the animals. I had come in to make a donation and there was a nice lady in front of me there to adopt a dog, she knew the dogs name. The girl behind the desk said she was informed someone was coming in at 4 to see the dog but we close in 15 minutes(it was 4:10 i looked)and it takes 30 minutes to do the adoption papers and there's no one else here, I need someone else here so I can do the paperwork. We don't normally do a hold but I can try. The lady was very disappointed she wanted to adopt the doggy but couldn't. I mean isn't it all about finding them homes?! Find the extra 10 minutes so this dog can have a home tonight. Obviously this lady tried to get there by 4 , she was wearing scrubs she was probably working. She asked if she could at least see the dog.. Not sure what happened because she shrugged at me like what do I want attitude. I handed her my donation bag explaining my dog had passed away and I wanted to donate some stuff. No Thank you or I'm sorry just A blunt OK. Probably need someone that enjoys working there and someone who cares about the animals first. Other than that I know from many of my other visits it's a wonderful place for the animals. I'm hoping the lady does go back to give that doggy a home💕
