I feel that this doctor listened to me, and actually discussed my care plans with me. This is something that I have not been used to in almost 20 years with Aurora. The doctors at Aurora have been dismissive and are not interested in getting to the bottom of what is wrong with me and not interested in dealing with my pain issues, but rather interested in worrying about whether or not their licenses are going to get taken away by helping somebody with their pain. I understand what doctors have to face these days, but I want to make sure that if I am in excruciating pain for a long period of time, that my doctor is going to help me, and treat me for my pain, and not ignore me, or ignore my pain. I want to feel reassured that I'm not going to be left to suffer if I have been in pain, that can't be controlled with any other medication that I have tried or that I cannot take. This doctor has made me feel reassured that I will not be made to suffer if I need help with my pain issues, or any other issues that I'm going through. Aurora has left me sitting for months with extreme pain going up and down my arm, shoulder, and neck. They have bounced me back and forth between pain management, primary care doctor, and a crap ton of tests being done. They have tried me on a whole lot of medication, and some of these I've already tried and they do not work, but they want to keep repeating them over and over again. Final diagnosis was that basically they did not know why I'm having tingling and numbness in my hand and arm, and they don't know why I don't have grip in my dominant hand. And I feel like they don't want to get to the bottom of why this is the way that it is. And they don't care if I am having several days or even weeks with excruciating pain. This is something that I should not have to deal with, and I refuse to deal with ever again! It is my body, and my health care. I know my body, and I know that there has been something wrong with me for quite some time, and I have been left walking out of Aurora's office feeling depressed, sad, and feelings of never going to know what is going on with me and that they will never be an end to the problems that I've been having. I feel like I have left Aurora with more problems than I had when I started going to them for treatment. I have filed complaints with them that have got me nowhere, hopefully now that I have switched over to this primary Care doctor, I will no longer have to feel depressed, and feel like my life is hopeless, and that I will never get to the bottom of why my health is deteriorating. It feels good to know that somebody actually cares

Dr Painton carefully listened, addressed all concerns, performed adequate examination(s), and ordered appropriate testing. Explained rationale for testing and explained treatment plans. Did NOT rush the encounter. I know, from past experience, that he will address test abnormalities in a prompt, personal manner.
What more could one want?
