If your family is in desperate needs find another company who cares! The social case worker was completely rude and uncaring. She made me feel so uncomfortable by her energy as she gave I was unwelcome. I can’t explain how uninterested she spoke or how much she lacked empathy.I called today about assistance with utilities. The lady gave every reason to not give me assistance. She greeted me by saying it depends what you got going on if I’ll help. I explained my reasonings. 1st she stated my bill needed to be lower bc they only assist up to$200. I told her that I would try to get it down more and ask if she could assist then. She then said who else have you asked for help I told her CMCA and VAC but that their companies refer Salvation Army as they are backed up. This lady told me I couldn’t receive help here bc I attempted to get help else where. I told her that didn’t make sense as both are letting me know they won’t be able to help. The lady asked another question have you ever in the pass got help from them & of course I said yes. Now she told me “It’s Salvation Army policy that you can’t get assistance from anyone else in order to get assistance with us”. SO THIS PLACE IS LISTED AS A RESOURCE but IF YOU WANT HELP YOU CAN ONLY EVER COME TO THEM! That’s strange due to all Columbia resource organizations provide different assistances. However I’m more so disappointed in the deliverance of the message. Little to no communication, and when she did speak it was no bit of kindness or caring from her. I feel like I put my business out there and she made a mockery of me. Why work somewhere she clearly show no passion in?

They do not help people with utility assistance. Whoever is in charge needs to find another job first and foremost she is uninterested, uncaring, and acting like my utility company won’t let them help people with making a payment on their behalf. I was basically on the phone talking to my myself with how little she responded to our conversation.

They don't help anyone. I had vac ready to help me out with a pair of boots and the salvation army said being out in the cold that boots wasn't a necessity for standing out in the cold ringing a bell. Sorry excuse for people especially around the holidays all they care about is public money.

I have Corona and they still insisted that I come to pick my belongings up! Doesn’t matter if it’s no contact I’m still in quarantine! Good way to ruin kids Christmas! First and last time I’ll be dealing with them! They didn’t wish me well, didn’t tell me “I hope you feel better” or anything of that matter! A disgrace to the Christian community! Didn’t deserve one star but I had to give them something to even write this review!
