We have loved the programs The Parenting Place has offered for our girls over the past 5 years! The playgroups are all free, staffed and have activities ready for them to do! It's such a great asset to our community!

This place is one of the best kept secrets of La Crosse. We are so fortunate to have a facility locally that focuses on Children and families. Their play shops are so fun for the kids and parents and our actually free!! They offer the parents a chance to meet socially as well as the children. Also the classes they offer are extremely helpful for raising children. You and your children will feel supported and loved. Bless these wonderful people who are gifted working with families.

I really look forward to seeing my little boy so much and I’m continually denied they were open on the weekends two weeks ago and now during the week when I was told this Sunday I would see him but it’s my fault cause I should double check when they don’t even have a consistent thing going? I wish I didn’t mess up me and the mothers relationship to the point I have no contact with her cause she is very reasonable but this place is destroying my soul right now and I’m trying my best to keep moving forward without breaking down cause I love my son with all my heart but they have a huge lack of communication I even said I want everything in writing yet I never get it and this is all just to much, accountably I understand I’m in my position for my own doings but please just have a normal schedule for my son, I never wanted to take my son away from his mother I understand I said ignorant things that would make it seem that way when I was angry but I’d take them back every time if I could but I told her she should have full custody of him like she does cause she carried him in her stomach and gave him the love I never could but since I don’t have custody at all I’m telling the truth cause they can’t take him from me which I’m seeing a lot on the reviews. They seem nice but I just don’t know anymore it all seems very unprofessional for dealing with the courts and children, if you go here no one deserves to be treated poorly including the staff but make sure you get everything in email not text they asked to text me and I’d personally prefer not to have text cause they could just change their number and lie on you, cause I feel like they’re willing to do whatever with no remorse to save face, I’m deeply hurt cause I only see my son 4 hours out of the month if that when we use to spend everyday together, I was a terrible boyfriend but I perceived myself as a good father we agreed to never spank him or yell at him and we both hold those lines, like I say he has a amazing mother who I know dearly cares about him and I don’t think she’d want the inconsistency with him but at this point it’s me against the machine and the machine is kicking my head backwards and I hope if anyone reads this trying to do classes they do better for the kids and never end up here for visits cause it has been hell for me, I don’t want to be bias to the other classes cause I’m sure they do good but this is my experience with visits

Oh such mixed feelings … I think they offer a lot of good programs and services to support parents in the area. However, what I consider their most universally helpful program - Parent Connection - is very clearly undervalued and misunderstood by management. I hope that when regular programming returns after the pandemic they recognize how important and helpful this program is and dedicates the resources appropriate to high value it provides to its participants.

The Parenting Place saved my sanity. Straight up they just want to take care of people.

Edit: I still feel like TPP can be great. It is my opinion that they have lost focus on the people who really need their help. Whether it is a shift in management or a new understanding in values this place seems to have forgotten about people in favor of programs. This was once such a refuge for me. Sadly that isn't the case any more.

Our town is lucky to have this program to help families with diapers and pull ups. Wipes . Very friendly staff.

This place has been a nightmare for me and my child. I have been yelled at by staff. The staff even went as far as threatening to take my child away if I did not agree with something. It is a very sexist place and I was told by staff that “they do not care about equality”.
