I will NEVER AGAIN SUPPORT THE NATURE CONSERVANCY ! (Although I had for decades.) What they did to those ranchers in Pt. Reyes is HIDEOUS. YOU ARE NOTHING BUT BULLIES. I am a hard core environmentalist and have dedicated my life to protecting the planet. Those ranchers where there, some since the 1800s. THEY GAVE YOU THAT LAND with the understanding that they could continue to ranch there. There cattle ranches WERE NOT hurting Pt. Reyes. THEY WERE THE LIFE OF PT. REYES. SHAME ON YOU AND THE OTHER GROUP THAT DID THIS BULLYING TO THESE POOR PEOPLE. YOU ARE ALL AWFUL.

I find the reviews here to be so sad. If you don't care about the environment, don't talk to them.
Once I agreed to talk with them, they told me what they did and I was happy to be involved. I can afford it. But they went out of their way before fully signing me up to ensure I was not being coerced. They called their headquarters and asked me to confirm that I understood what I was donating to and how the donations would work. This is a real non-profit doing good work. I happen to be concerned about our environment and want to support this cause.
It's so hard to ask for money, even for great causes. I have a lot of respect for their courage.

Happy to donate to their mission. Yes, I was approached by a woman in front of Safeway in Oakland but she was very nice and I could've said no if I wanted to. She wasn't aggressive at all but obviously their goal is to find as many supporters as they can. They do ask for a commitment to donate at least 1 year for $25/mo but I'm assuming it's not like you couldn't cancel if for whatever reason financial hardship occurred. So donate if you can or just say no, I cannot make that commitment at this time. Don't bash the organization ! If people are aggressively approached, maybe the organization can offer better training.

The NC is bullying ranchers near Point Reyes. Do not give to or volunteer for them.

I'm so disappointed. I didn't mind to make a donation for a good thing. But selling my address to a bunch of beggars that spamming my mailbox - it is too much.

They can and will sell your personal information to other, equally scammy organizations.

Great cause, very transparent and provides a lot of information throughout the year about what your money is doing.
