I love the Mission Church. I have never been a part of a church body quite like this one. When I go on Sundays I don’t feel like Pastor Dave or JC is just preaching a sermon, it feels like a personal in-depth Bible study that is insightful, and full of biblical truth and grace. It’s not just that they’re teaching about Jesus, it’s discipleship. If you’re looking for a church where you will grow in your knowledge and love for God through Bible-based teaching, and walk alongside an inspiring community who is doing the same, this is the church for you!

This is a warm-hearted, welcoming, doctrinal, church that blessed me immensely during my visit from out of state. Their prayers and practical help revealed Christ's acceptance and compassion for the rocky time I was going through. Many thanks for the expressions of love.

I have not attended this church in person, but I have been watching the sermon online and I am impressed by the teaching so far. Hence, my 5 stars rating here is based on my remote participation.

My write up in the following is not much about making a comment, rather, it is more like asking a question. The truth is that I am desperately looking for a home church here in San Diego. However, there is one very fundamental doctrine of a church which is extremely important to me and I would like to find this out in public. I hope that my following question does not offend anyone who leads or attends this seemingly wonderful church. If my question below seems provocative or intrusive to anyone, please accept my sincere apology.

I have left my previous church after being there for several years. In the beginning, I was very pleased with the teaching and the fellowship until US politics became more and more divided and the church started taking a specific political position. To me, for a church to get involved in political influence is not what I could agree with. As far as I know of Jesus teaching, I was never aware of Jesus suggesting what or who to support in the political system. Hence, I would prefer the church that I am going to participate in and to serve will always just focus on the bible teaching and not get involved in the political discourse and discord. I certainly respect each person's right for their personal political belief and practice. However, such a personal position should not be tied to church doctrine and teaching because our church is our secret place to worship our God, and God alone according to His words to serve and to love our God and His people.

I pray to God to find me the right church in the San Diego area that I can attend and 100% focus on His words without any political distraction. I hope that Mission Church Carlsbad is "the" right church that I am looking for. At least, so far, I am very excited about what I have seen online. Hoping that I will get some affirmation publicly from the leader of the church.

Verse by verse uncompromised teaching right out of the Bible. What a simple, refreshing change. This is now my Church for the foreseeable future. I would encourage you to visit if you are in town or looking for a Church of your own to call home.

So happy our neighbors told us about this church; it has been such a positive influence on my family. My husband and I were looking for a Christian church that aligned with our values and was true to the word of God. The first service we attended was so welcoming. They give you a coffee mug and connection cards for Fellowship on your first visit. The church has multiple events throughout the year including park Olympics, BBQs, hikes, surf lessons, etc. My husband was even Baptized at Moonlight Beach with 45 other members. The Pastors and Youth ministry leaders are such a blessing! We are approaching our 1 year mark and it warms my heart to know we have finally found our people.

The Mission Church is dedicated to teaching the Bible as it was intended. Chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Providing a true knowledge and understanding of Christ and God’s intended relationship for us with Him.
The Church is led by a Godly loving Pastor. Ps David Menard and his wife Lisa have a heart for the most needy in our community and beyond our borders. I’m grateful to The Mission Church and their commitment to supporting the needy and most vulnerable children in Baja California.

As a person who stepped into this church not believing, by reading the Word of God, and being in fellowship with both young and mature believers, I have never found myself with as much joy and peace ever in my 23 years of life. Grateful for the bold and loving approach to know God and live for God.

The Mission Church in Carlsbad has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. The pastor is an amazing teacher of God's word. I have grown so much in knowledge of the bible since I started attending the Mission. The assistant pastor is an amazing teacher as well. They both have such a heart for all who walk through the Mission church doors. The church also has great men and women's mid-week bible studies as well as community home groups. These allows for further growth of God's word but they are also a wonderful opportunity to have some great fellowship. The young adults program is also thriving. I have my watched my son and step daughter become such godly young adults as they have become plugged into the Mission's YA program. I cannot say enough good things about the Mission Church. The Lord is really doing an amazing work there!
