STAY AWAY! FRAUDULENT COMPANY!

Sales: 5 stars, service provided: 0 stars.

It took about a week to get a hold of my matchmaker and once I talked to her, I instantly felt like I was bothering her. I wanted to confirm that she knew what I am looking for and she claimed that she knows exactly, based on the notes of the sales person (impossible, obviously). I had doubts and started asking questions, which seemed to offend her. She failed to convince me that she knew what I was looking for, so I tried to give her some hints but did not get the impression that she was listening.

A few days later, my matchmaker found one match for me. The person was unreachable and did not return my call or respond to my voicemail or text message. I obviously did not sign up for matchmaking to chase people down, so I left it at that and notified my matchmaker. She was hesitant to admit that the match was a failure but finally agreed to not count it as a match.

My 2nd match was an overweight woman, and as I'm athletic myself and have stated that as a strong preference for my matches, this company is blatantly ignoring my preferences.

3rd match: This 3rd match was delivered by the 3rd matchmaker, so there is zero continuity at this point. Interestingly, the matchmaker admitted that my second match was overweight and very convincingly explained to me that the third match is athletic, unlike the 2nd match.
I met the 3rd match and she was even more overweight than the 2nd match.

If you want to meet completely random people who don't meet the criteria of a good match that you have defined for yourself in any way, go ahead and give Arizona Singles your time and money because that is exactly what they will do for you.

In all seriousness, though, this company is simply fraudulent because they do not provide the service they promise that they are going to provide in any way. The only service you get is a lawyer who explains to you that the company is providing the service and that they are not able to guarantee any quality of service due to the nature of the business.

If you are a dissatisfied customer of Arizona Singles, reach out to me and become part of my class action lawsuit against them.

Sales 4 - Service 0

Well I wish I would have read the Yelp reviews and BBB complaints before I filled out the online questionnaire for Arizona Matchmakers, it would have saved me. Many lessons learned to share. I thought a matchmaker was going to be the way to go since I'm thoughtful of how I spend my resources. I was contacted within days to set up my initial consultation.

Desiree, the lady who conducted my original interview, was great. I felt like I was really being heard for what I was looking for. I'm very unique and want someone to apricate all of that. I initially was going to pass once I got the sales pitch but she convinced me to try their smallest package.

It took them almost 2 weeks to run my background check and put me in contact with my first match. My call with the matchmaker, Kristal, was less than 5 minutes and she just threw out some basic facts about my match. Of course, I was just at the point where I was just ready to try it out. (I now know to ask follow up questions from my initial meeting to make sure that the match really does have what I'm looking for in my LTR partner, which is my ultimate goal).

My first match was prompt in getting back to me and we met within a couple days. (He had really bad experiences with his first 2 matches. Though neither of us thought we matched to what was discussed with the matchmakers we decided to give it a try. We dated for 3 months before determining it wasn't going to be what either of us was really looking for. Like many matchmakers say, trust the process, we tried).

I filled out my first match survey immediately after our first date. I didn't hear back from them until I checked in after 2 weeks. (I think because they talked to my match right after the date & he wanted to put his account on hold). They said they would get right on my next match, at that point I just decided to put my account on hold also. I have not heard from them since. No check-ins over the 3 months to see how it was going. I emailed last week to extend my contract, no response. I emailed them several days after that to let them know that my first match didn't work out and that I was disappointed with my follow up from them and let them know I was not ready to move on with my additional matches. I did finally get a 5 second voice mail 3 days later (it was over a weekend) but Krystal didn’t leave a call back number, just said she looked forward to talking to me. I emailed again letting them know I would be in touch if I wanted to continue, which at this point I won’t but I do have a year extension on my 3 remaining matches so we will see. (If I do go back and their service improves, I’ll let you know).

I'm sure there are good matchmakers out there, just don't use this one. Arizona Matchmakers has no clue what customer service is.

2/12/24 Update from their response - He put on happy hold right away, I did not. I waited for 2 weeks before reaching out to the matchmaker to see how to proceed. At that time is when I decided to put my account on hold also. I strongly suggest you update your processes and don't assume both sides are doing the same thing and check in with them at least once after their happy hold. If I would have had that contact, I wouldn't have been disappointed.

2/19/24 Update from follow up call with Megan - It appears that it is all because I didn't understand their processes. They have too many clients (which is good for a data base to pull from) to check in with you personally. Their automated emails survey after each match & you following up with them on how your experience is with each match is required so they can keep modifying how they are choosing your matches is what their process entails. Once again falls back on me not knowing and trusting a professional to guide me (guessing they may teach how to interact with their company better in the add on coaching program). Will consider their request to remove this review.

Poorly organized. The marketing Rep did an excellent job. Unfortunately what I asked for (only women within 10 miles) was not passed on to the "match maker". My first and only recommended woman lives about 40 miles away. I let the "match maker" know that the match was unacceptable in a phone call.

I didn't hear from the match maker for two weeks . No more matches. I then asked for a refund.

This business is as close to fraud as is possible and stay in
business.

This app is inadequate. Have to write a review without being able to see what I am typing. Shame ?

I feel super compelled to write this review to help others understand the unethical practice of this business and to save you money. First off, to say that they are high pressure sales preying on people's insecurities is an understatement. Secondly, their contract is written in such a way that is does everything to protect them and does nothing to protect the consumer/their non performance of the contract. In addition to the 3 day right of rescission, they take 7-10 days to come up with the first introduction. I met with their new client advisor, Desiree who is very well trained in hard sales. She had me fill out very detailed questionnaire on the kind of person I am looking for, including all the gritty nitty details. I had one very specific limitation about the individual(s) that I would like to be matched with. This request is because of a situation that caused me a lot of heart ache. Desiree hand wrote at the top of the page to reiterate this "deal breaker." She also really sold Krystal as my certified "matchmaker." Long story short, they called with my first and only introduction with a first name, height, age, line of work and that he had a child. She never mentioned anything about the deal breaker which made me think that had obviously been taken in to account. Long story short, I had a very short convo with my "match" before he disclosed my one and only limitation which is a deal breaker. I immediately cut him off and said I was not capable of handling that and I provided feedback to AZ Matchmakers that same night. I got a call the next day from Krystal stating that she didn't understand why I was upset bc we matched on everything else. I was livid but she said she would go back to the "team" to discuss. I repeatedly called, texted and emailed asking for follow up with either no response or "canned" responses like "hey, we are working on your next match." Meanwhile I unfortunately had to deal with the heart ache I had dealt with in the past that had resurfaced due to their total negligence in the care of my specifications even though I was beyond specific about a particular situation that did not work for me. When I still had not heard anything 3 weeks later, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. At this point, AZ Matchmakers started calling and telling me I was not eligible for a refund and I decided to let my credit card company deal with the dispute. Unfortunately 3 months later, I found out that I am bound by this contract and I am required to pay the charge. I will not stop here. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and also contacted an attorney for their non performance of the contract. It will cost me more money to pursue this than it is probably worth but to be honest, it is about the principle and hopefully also helping future potential clients dodge a bullet by signing up with this joke of an operation. Whatever you do, do not contract with these people and fall prey to their shady business practices. I'd give zero stars if that was an available rating!

Frankly, I think I've been had. I'm 78 and recently widowed so wanted to find a friend/mate/whatever. Seems to me, they didn't get enough information about me to find what I was looking for.
The contract has a 3 day right of rescission, but they take 7-10 days to come up with a recommendation. I had specifically requested a person within Tuscon proper. Their first recommendation was a person from Bisbee that came no where near my requests for the type of person I'm hoping to find. I feel like it was a high pressure sales gimmic and honestly feel that I've been taken. $1500 for three guanteed dates with a person that doesn't even come close to matching your check boxes - no thank you.

I have had a great experience with this matchmaking service.
They do the checking so you don't have to. This feature assured me that I would be in capable hands to find the right type of matches for me. Jesse was my personal contact for my matches and he went above and beyond, in my opinion to keep me safe and find suitable opportunities to have spectacular dating experience. I indeed recommend them highly.
