I am so excited that the HRC has moved into this building!! They are impacting our community in so many positive ways and providing resources for the unhoused. The staff and volunteers who run the site are so wonderful, and volunteering with them is always such a joy! Seeing the impact the HRC has on those they serve is something really special, and I’m excited to see all that they will do!

these organizations are here for their own careers and funding themselves, they are not here fo the homeless people. so i needed to do laundry but they wouldnt allow it at 1 pm.
it took over 2 hours to get here by bus.
they said you have to get there really early but that would mean taking a spot from someone else so they cant do laundry because they only want to allow a few laundry slots per day so they can stop laundry very early? is 1 pm too late in the day? i think thats unreasonable and reaffirms my suspicion that these services exist as a business for their own funding and jobs but the do not want to actually help the homeless people who these organizations exist for. the 5 staff members i met were doing nothng, helping no one and refused to help me for a simple thing as laundry.

its really discouraging how these organizations are paid to help the homeless but they have no compassion to lift a finger and they dont care about the homeless at all.

It was called Mary’s kitchen in the past and they will always be known as Mary’s kitchen to me. I cannot begin to tell you how much positive things come from this place. They help literally everyone in every way possible. My mail comes here and they feed me and let me do laundry and even shower. They have activities and positive role models who volunteer. I love you guys
