We should have listened to reviews on this place. Very unorganized, no communication between the therapist and psychiatrist. We had to call for lab results after not receiving them over 2 months later. Finally when we received them they asked us to schedule an appointment with the psychiatrist to discuss. We did exactly that and was asked why we wanted to meet with them. Our son’s therapist left about a month ago and they still have not found a replacement even after calling multiple times. And if you need FMLA paperwork, forget about it. And if you do get it , it will not be right. AVOID THIS PLACE!

My first intake appointment was great. Very caring people. Then I go to my actual therapy appointment. I drove half an hour to an office to be put on a zoom call with an uncaring therapist. Who diagnosed me with PTSD and wanted to take me off the meds that were working for me to put me on a weaker med. I didn't feel like she even listened to me. And I wasn't allowed to choose another therapist. I was told conflicting things by different departments (like - one hand doesn't have any idea how the other hands/departments were run. I got the runaround and was sad because my intake first session I actually talked to caring nice people. But the therapist - nope, not caring, not thoughtful, and the opposite of helpful. This is a government run place, which is probably why it's so bad. I truly needed help and got the opposite of help here. The intake people should be therapists and the therapists should be fired, imo. I got zero help here and I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The absolute worst mental health organization I've ever experienced across four different states.

The only mental health organization that made me feel abandoned by mental health practitioners. Abandoned. By the people who are tasked with being the opposite.

I don't know what's wrong with this place, but please avoid it if you can.

Update: A month later, and still the same. Extremely poor communication. Extremely poor care. They sent the wrong medication to the pharmacy. Twice. They never return voicemails. They don't care. It's just a place for recent graduates of medical school to get experience for their careers and nothing more. You're just practice, for students, and nothing more.

Update 2: Multiple months later. Still not on the meds I was on for seven years that actually worked. And the psychiatrist laughed and scoffed at me when I was telling him about a deep concern. Feels like seeking care from a bully. So how many calls and how many days does it take for a case coordinator to return your call about rescheduling an appointment and requesting a new psychiatrist who doesn't make your mental health worse? So far: 2 calls, 4 days, no call backs. Will continue to update.

Nope! Not going here! Waited hours to hear back from them about their services only to get someone on the phone who knows absolutely nothing about the very conditions they're supposed to treat! Had no idea what they were even talking about yet tried questioning me as if I was the ignorant one. I don't think so! This place is a joke. 👎

Never heard back , got skimped out of money when I paid for an intake the total over a hundred bucks. Got redirected originally the intake got myself together, never heard from a therapist. Orignally on waiting list for two years. Personally I should sue.

Case Manager Joi is a non caring person who cancels appointment last minute all the time. She thinks everything's about her. She doesn't listen to you she doesn't care it's horrible.

Psychiatrist forgot to send in my medication before going on vacation. After several days of having a sudden drop in my psychiatric meds, the facility told me to come in to be seen by someone else. Spent the entire day waiting for them to do their bureaucratic whatever. Finally received a call later that day that they decided that they would prefer me to have my brain chemistry completely jumbled because they hate their patients (well, that was the implication). World is already starting to spiral. Missed one deadline, about to miss another. Relationship with family is getting taxed. Relationships with friends will be next. My hypersensitivities to changes like this have sent me into antidepressant discontinuation syndrome. SI is back for the first time in a year. My trust in humanity has taken another hit. My sense of futility has been reentrenched.

Best case scenario at this point will be the loss of an entire week of work. Perhaps even more. I'm already several days behind schedule on a few projects for work. Time sensitive things will not be able to be completed.

They also have eroded any miniscule trust I had in them. They are incompetent, negligent, and harmful.

The only thing the "Guidance Center" will guide you toward is madness. They do not care about you. They do not care about your mental health. They do not care about your well-being.

They will ruin your life.

They will ruin your humanity.

If you've been on the same medication for nearly a decade they will take it from you and force you to go without cold turkey, out of nowhere, even after telling you they would continue. It's a trick. It's a trap. They only tell you that so you feel a sense of trust so they can betray you. It's all a ruse so they can harm you to a greater degree.

The Guidance Center cannot be trusted.

Do not trust them.

They will ruin your everything.

Update: Psychiatrist finally returned from vacation. I called asking for guidance on my sudden unexpected medication change and what his medical opinion was about what I should be doing considering the poor results of this and the extremely bad results after trying another med he suggested. The returned call was just the scheduling person wanting to schedule another appointment instead of giving me any information at all whatsoever about my exigent situation about my brain chemistry and the mess of this situation.

Not "yes, he advises no longer taking that new med he prescribed that gave you a bad reaction."

Not "he decided to send in your meds and apologized for forgetting before."

Not "he said that the other meds will not be renewed and you should do xyz instead."

Instead, simply, "let's schedule a time for you to come into the office again for a sixth time this month in about two or three weeks from now."

Thank goodness for the internet, so I can at least look up guidance online, because The Guidance Center is devoid of guidance

Update: Six Weeks Later

Still no improvements.
I wish they offered to put their patients into a chemically induced coma if they're going to take away our ability to live anyway. It would at least hold off the worst of this misery. But no, of course not. They probably enjoy knowing we're in pain.

I hate this place. So unorganized, no communication what so ever. I’m a new patient and I was seeking therapy, we did all the screenings and Dr visits and all & I was waiting to be scheduled for a therapist. Nobody called, so I had to call & turns out they don’t have any therapist at the moment they need to hire more…. I wish I would have been told this from the very beginning so I didn’t have to waste my time doing all these tests and I could have went somewhere else. This was about 3 months ago. I am currently still waiting for a therapist, finally called my case manager that I wanna go somewhere else (wanted to give them a chance) because this is ridiculous
Dr.Jam was amazing though, she was leaving the week I met her so I couldn’t talk to her more, i wish I knew where she’s working now.
