My call this morning was answered promptly by Evelyn. She gathered my information, expedited my request, and informed me as to how to proceed. I could not be more pleased with my telephone encounter with Evelyn, and she should get a gold star on her time card. Kudos to her and your staff.

"Nightmare" is the only way to describe this office. Paid property tax through bank by auto payments so I would not forget. Turns out that I under paid by $80.00 .The law requires I receive notice of underpayment and have ten days to pay the balance. Treasurers office notified bank. I did not realize this until my second payment was rejected again without any notice. Then started a year long journey through bureaucratic hell. No one had any answers, for 3 months finally talked to a human who was willing to waive one of the late penalty fees but not the other. Had to file claims with City all were denied, as allways. The penalty that was supposedly waived wasn't ..Another claim, another denial....The most unhelpful people I have ever encountered. I was told lies and finally sued the city, the city settled, I got all my money back but really 18 months in bureaucratic hell. Feel sorry for people who just give up.

I had to pay for their incompetence. Due to a recent remodel, we had a supplemental tax bill, in addition to the regular bill. They were both due on the same date, so I sent in a single check to cover them both. The amount was correct, but these idiots rejected my payment because it didn't match the amount of either bill - even though it exactly matched the amount of the two bills when added together! To make matters worse, they waited until after the deadline to notify me, and then added a late charge. I appealed and explained all this to them, but they simply followed the party line - "the payment must match the amount of the bill" - and refused to waive the late charge. Bureaucratic mindlessness at its worst.

Complete incompetency. They bill you the wrong amount and it's your fault and you're expected to pay otherwise you're due for 10% penalty. Refund is minimum 6 month in wait time.
