I volunteered at this facility and the staff seems to truly care about their impact on the community. They help connect people with services beyond food and are planning to expand what they can offer in the coming year. They also have an on-site garden that produces thousands of pounds of produce for the folks who use their services. Great staff.

Filled out their online form. Was approved. Got a call the following day from a lady who was super rude to the point I hung up upset. She then kept texting me and harrassing me trying to make a point that she wasn’t rude .

I'm here for help with food, they are not taking new clients, but there are several clients in lobby talking about how they missed coming last month, one man said he hasn't come for a few months. That doesn't seem fair to new potential clients Well they are giving me a one time emergency bag of food and referring me to another food bank that is twice as far from my apartment (I will have to walk 3 blocks, take the train and then a bus) to get here I catch a bus in front of my apartment and then in 12 stops I'm here.

Target Hunger strives under difficult circumstances to get food to qualified needy people.Often crowded with long wait time. It is understaffed with huge caseload & they do their best to be fair & efficient. Most of its complainers should be spending their time looking for work, so that the truly needy disabled, elderly & poor could more easily get help. Staff are usually friendly & helpful, but you do sometimes encounter a misguided church lady who would rather be somewhere else than with the people she is there to serve. They don't last long though.
